8oz Cedar Oil Can - Essential Eastern Red Cedar Wood (Juniperus Virginiana) Oil - Fox Creek Cedar Oil

This is seriously the most amazing product I’ve ever used in my life. I’ve been struggling with a flea infestation, that was practically eating the dogs alive. There were maybe thousands of fleas. I constantly bathed them and they would hatch hundreds more the next day. It was a never ending battle. And I had already tried OTC flea topicals that were just a waste of money, the fleas would die and stay away a few days and come back with a vengeance in a week at best. I was at my wits end, and I was exhausted from constantly bathing 4 dogs and 3 cats non stop, and so were they. Until I found this amazing, amazing oil. I read about it while in a deep dive about flea solutions on Reddit, and only one or two posters even mentioned it. Usually only solution to kill flea infestation is bombing and spending hundreds on chewable flea meds. Spending $1,000 on all 7 animals for just 3 months is not feasible for me, especially when they will just return after it wears off. I don’t want to be dramatic but it’s changed my life and changed my dog’s life. It’s given me a chance to have a break from the relentless fleas and try to kill the source. I don’t know what the science is behind it but the cedar oil literally kills the fleas on contact. They just start running for their lives and when the oil touches them they die right away, I’ve never seen anything like it since fleas are damn near impossible to kill, and I’ve tried everything. Not to mention it’s smells wonderful, so fresh and clean like a walk in the woods in autumn or after a rain. I of course dilute in carrier oil, I recommend coconut oil, and rub it into their skin and let it penetrate their fur. The fleas will start jump away. Keep applying every couple days so it doesn’t wear off, until there’s no more fleas. After one application they’re all dead. If you are consistent and keep applying it I promise the source will eventually die too because they won’t have a food source anymore and will die off. Amazing, amazing product, I wish everyone knew about this and I can’t say enough good things about it. I’m sure it can kill any insects, because if it can kill fleas it can surely kill anything. I will definitely be taking this with me and the dogs in the future, whether camping, or hiking or just going on a walk, this is a MUST HAVE, to stay fresh, sane, and keep the bugs and pests away from you.

Good scent, easy to use.

Recently, I began researching to find the purest, safest Cedar Oil available today. What I discovered changed my mind about believing initial claims some Companies make regarding their product(s). For instance, there is another well attested Cedar Oil available... However, after visiting the companies site. Researching the reviews. I found that their claims of purity were not exactly true. I shudder to think about others who have purchased this particular false pure cedar oil. It is poisonous to both plants and animals! Now, I feel so fortunate to have done my homework! Fox Creek Naturals doesn't kill plants or animals. Quiet the contrary. It is very beneficial in the expulsion of flees, ticks, and pests on both plants and on our pets as well! We found that Fox Creek Naturals is immediately effective. Due to the fact that cedar oil does it's best work via aroma, rather than harsh chemical applications. One will find it advantageous to diligently spray a diluted mist directly on the area where the pests are located daily for as long as the problem exists. I also, mixed the cedar oil with a baby shampoo and bathed my Chihuahuas with it. I love the raw pure smell of this carefully tested product. Recently, I decided to apply Fox Creek Cedar Oil on my solid wood closet doors. I was very impressed with the way it brought out the natural beauty of the wood making them look newer, and the doors were not even cedar! But, when I was done, it certainly smelled as though it were. I even told my Daughter, who owns a cleaning business, about the remarkable way it brought back the new wood look to the closet doors. She has decided to start using cedar oil as well. In the photo of the closet doors, can you guess which door was treated with cedar oil? It's the one on the left. I again cannot believe what might have occured to my puppy dogs had I bought the other leading brand! Thankfully, our family was saved from unknowingly harming our pets because we took the time to read the reviews and visit the websites. It matters.

Five star cedar oil. One star taken off because as a 46 year old woman who takes care of her 70 year old mother. The inner cap needs some kind of a tab for you to get your nail under and pull it out EASILY. I almost cut myself a few times trying to get something under it to “pop it out”! The smell quality of this is of a pure cedar oil. I have an extremely sensitive nose and can smell synthetic oils. They give me headaches. This cedar oil releases headache tension! It is also used on my dogs as a natural repellent for bugs, as I live in the woods woods!! I will buy a bigger bottle if they have this in a bigger size. I use cedar oil around my home. And use it to refresh my cedar trunks. Highly recommended!! The only other cedar oil I use comes from NOW FOODS from the A R E, and they even seem to be loosing quality with their oils. This has quickly gone to the top spot!! Even my mother was highly satisfied with the smell of your cedar oil!!

Smells like a special spa! I have an old closet lined with cedar and lightly sanded it and coated it with this oil- the smell is amazing! This keeps out moths from the space. I had 2 coats done with a rag.

Update 2026: Would buy this again, after a year of use the chest smells better than ever. Changed my score to 5 stars. Bought this to replace the cedar oil smell in my cedar chest, but it doesn't smell like cedar. I thought that I would buy another product to get the smell and it too wasn't what I expected. I'm from Mississippi and our cedar trees are much stronger, with a wonderful Christmas feel to them. It does smell better after about a week of airing it out. I guess it just depends on the area the oil comes from as to what you get. Gave it 4 stars and I would recommend this, as long as you know that ones needs to air it out before making a judgement.

Frikkin amazing aromatic as can be kills moth and larvae and repels a number of pests that it will kill if they get too close, be careful around pets and anything you don’t wish to smell fabulous for a long long time with this stuff although it is pure, and it is near imperative to mix it with something if you plan to use it for a soap or cream or my favorite use, beard balm when I make it at home. If you’ve ever made it you know why it’s so expensive all the ingredients when quality are high but my beard balm is the best and I use this around the holidays to keep my beard smelling like Christmas and the evergreen New England forest on a cold winter morning, squinting beyond the blowing white powdery snow off the dark green abundant needles all around as you tromp through yesterdays foot of snow in your favorite fuzzy boots and toboggan hat, that’s how it smells. My beard is grateful and so are any people who walk by and catch a scent of it. Some folks don’t like it. But then I don’t like that powdery dollar store alcohol diluted baby poop perfume that they wear either lol

Smells like cedar, difficult to open container There was a bit of cedar oil inside the metal cap so I can tell it smells like cedar. However, the next step after unscrewing the cap is puzzling - there is a metal plug - no instructions on how to remove, I read some customers resorted to try and use a screw driver to poke a hole in it…I understand the sealed option is probably to keep the oil from spilling during transport, however some instructions would have been helpful! I expected some sort of brush solder to he inside of the cap…no such luck. I e-mailed the seller - no answer… It really doesn’t matter if it smells like cedar if one cannot use it, right?
