Works well
I was initially disappointed since this was described as a membrane aerator but is actually an airstone. I contacted the seller who promptly shipped another one for free. In practice this works well, generating a storm of microbubbles that do their job-just make sure that you have a powerful air pump. If this gets clogged with algae, take it out and pour on a few ounces of lime-away or equivalent. Let is soak overnight in a bucket and then add water to cover. Rinse thoroughly and it should be good as new.

Has weight so it naturally sinks to bottom of pond.
