Does this come with a spare octagonal gate that can be installed in place of the square gate?

Can’t believe how many wrong answers there are to this question. The Mayflash f500 Elite comes with a square gate installed and an octagonal gate that you swap it with. Simple swap too. Just pull the tabs on the joystick in and pull off the gate, no tools needed.

Doea this have the square gate that you can rotate to give a slotted 4 way gate for the retro stuff? Ideally wanting to order tonight

Yes confirmed it’s square gate. You can actually change the gate if you wish so if at some point you prefer to use a octagonal or circle gate. There’s quite a few YouTube videos that can talk you through it.

Can I use for non fighting games if not any suggestions?

Yes. The stick can be used to play any game that uses either the left stick or the d-pad on a conventional controller. I bought this primarily to play retro and arcade games in my Xbox One and it works quite well. The only issue I’ve had is related to remapping the buttons - if a game doesn’t allow you to remap the buttons, you have to quite regularly cross from the first row to the second row and you can’t ‘rest’ your fingers on the two or three buttons you need to use regularly and have them mapped to the first row of buttons.

Does this use x input on pc?

It can be set to use x input via a switch
