What do you expect, ordered fermented green tea leaves to make Burmese Tea Leaf Salad and expect them to be sweet like donuts!!!? Of course not, this quality product with a bit bitter taste is the best one I have ordered from Amazon, all ingredients are very healthy and clean, I definitely will buy it again, and I know it won’t take me too long to order another jar. I made this delicious Burmese tea leave salad as soon as I got the notification of the product been delivered, it’s so amazingly tasty! 😋😋😋

My jar arrived opened slightly, so some olive oil had leaked out, leaving the leaves a little dry. After I rehydrated with some oil, it perked up nicely. The taste was good, but a little more bitter than what I’d had at restaurants.

A few things that I really appreciated about this Laphet So... 1) Its unusual thing that most people aren't familiar with, so makes for a really cool cocktail party conversation 2) I just love tea in all forms, but this is the first time I've ever heard of edible tea leaves 3) I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes a foodie trend, esp since Burma/Myanmar is opening up and more people are becoming interested in the country 4) Its just really tasty. So far I've added it to eggs in the morning (caffeine and nice flavor), on crackers with goat cheese, in some asian stir frys, lots of different things like that. Its an easy way to give a dish a boost and add an interesting flavor to the meal.

I’d have to agree with few of the other reviews. I’ve had tea leaves before and have liked it very much, however, this product tastes extremely bitter. It also has a strong jasmine tea taste to it. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I lived in Myanmar for the better part of two years and developed a liking for tea leaf salad. This is the worst tea leaf product I have ever tried. It was so bitter as to be inedible.

Really tasty. Made a delicious tea leaf salad dressing. Kept in the fridge for several days after opening. Very satisfied.

I tried the spicy cultured tea leaf and it exceeded my expectations. I added it to plain rice, steak and even omelet and it was absolutely delicious. The leaf brings all the fiery taste of chili flakes, the strong flavor of spices and extra virgin olive oil. What’s even better is that the ingredients are all organic. The packaging was good and delivery was fast. I would definitely order more in the future.

This hardly tasted like authentic lahpet. Every bite was like a mouthful of strong jasmine tea. Not my cup o...you get the idea.
