I have self diagnosed De Quervaines Syndrome. "Thumb-Wrist Tenditis". I'm a lifter, father of 3 babies/toddlers, and I have to use my wrist/hand at work a lot as well. These are three possible causes and I do all three things regularly. I finally decided I needed to intervene because it wasn't getting better. I'm 5 days into a 2 weeks break to start. I decided to stop lifting, limit my mobility with a thumb stabilizer brace, ice my wrist 3-4 times a day, and run ibuprofen and Tylenol around the clock. So, onto the brace. Fit- I wear Large in most everything. This fits me fine. It will work for hands-forearms bigger, and smaller than mine. It has a good range for size. Quality- This seems to be very high quality material. It's a squishy neoprene. The ice packs feel like they'll last a while, and then you can buy replascements when need be. I'm hoping I never have to replace them. I like that I can position the ice packs where I need them through use of hook & loop Velcro. Also, if I have an area to concentrate on I suppose I would only need one ice pack and that would allow me to leave the second ice pack (it comes with 2) in the freezer to remain cold incase I need it too. -Results- It stays cold for a bout 15-20 minutes which is all the more you should ice yourself anyways. It does the job. I gain more mobility in my wrist afterwards which shows me that the swelling inside has decreased. I've gained a good bit of mobility in the past 5 days and have faith that this is necessary to recover from this. I highly recommend spending the $28 on this product because it can be used on either hand-wrist-forearm and I feel it's helping my wrist tendinitis everytime I use it.

My husband is a drummer who has played drums for 50 years so he has pain in his wrist occasionally. This product works great to relieve pain and it is flexible and adjustable. The cold packs are malleable and conform to the shape of his hand and wrist. They also chill quickly. It is easy to use and the cold packs can go in front, in back or both. Ignore reviews that say it's too cold. The cold is the whole point and it eases discomfort almost immediately.

This is the best wrap I've found for my needs. The ice packs are soft and cold. They get cool fast which is an advantage for me since I often fall asleep with it on and forget to throw them back in the freezer the next day. The wrap is very easy to put on with one hand. The two ice packs come in sleeves with Velcro which allows for varied placement. This is ideal for coverage as the ice packs attach to the wrap first and don't slip around as I put the wrap on. 4-stars because a lot of stitching came unraveled within the first few days of wearing. I wasn't sure how it was going to hold up but it ended up being entirely around a sewn on label and after months of use it has not affected functionality of the wrap itself.

However in small print on their website I read you could use this if you needed icing on the dorsal side of your foot. I have a metatarsal stress fracture. I put ice in one pocket the first time to just hit the top. It was wonderful. After a long day I put both ice packs in and it hits the bottom and the top and it is bliss. Thank you for mentioning it on your webpage. You should make it more prominent. It is perfect for this. Whether it is a metatarsal issue or planter fasciitis I am covered. Love it. It keeps cold about 15-20 minutes but you are not supposed to ice longer than that my doc said. It gets cold again fast in the freezer. The ice packs have great movement. I’m going to order two spares. My foot thanks you dearly. And to think I never even got to the hand part. Worth it. I love it.

You have to put the packs inside the bags that come insde the wrap. This bags are cheaply sewed.They broke after one week of use, but they do the work. The packs work better for cold use because when heating them the last just about 15 minutes and with a very medium temperature. I tried leaving them more time in the microwave, but it just happended that the plastic got on a burning temp and the inside stayed not enough hot. I would recommend to buy it and use other ice packs that fit in the bags!

i recently broke my wrist and need ice application after therapy and for pain control. I have been using multiple bags and wraps to cover it properly. This products does a great job of applying the cold directly to the area needed and gives me more mobility. Two notes; 1) when they say one size fits most, they mean it. I'm a small woman and it fits me well, but would not fit a large man. Which brings me to 2) Unless you have a high tolerance for cold, you will need some fabric or face cloth between you and the ice packs. I used it immediately off the UPS truck and did not need anything, but later with the ice pack right out of the freezer it was too cold. So I recommend use some barrier or leave the ice packs out for a little while before using. I highly recommend this product.

Some reviews mention problems with heating the packs and getting the heat to last. I don't have an issue with this and love this wrap. Here is how I make sure it gets and stays warm enough: 1) I start with room temperature packs, not frozen, if I need heat. 2) Per manufacturer instructions, I completely submerge the packs in water in a microwave-safe container to heat them. 3) I use hot water from the tap, not cold. These steps give me about 20 minutes of heat, which is plenty since doctors generally recommend no more than 20 minutes of heat therapy for injuries. For the first 10 minutes, the packs are hot enough I wrap my hand/wrist in a light towel before putting the Active Wrap on to be sure I don't burn myself. For the last 10 minutes, the packs are cool enough that I can remove the towel, but warm enough to still have a beneficial effect for me. If I need the Active Wrap for cold therapy, I will buy a second set of packs to keep in the freezer exclusively for that use.

I love these ice wraps - have several of them and for just about every joint in the body - hands, elbow, back, hip, knee and foot/ankle. Soft but durable with velcro straps, they are easy to adjust to stay where you need them. The ice packs that you slip into them are pliable and soft enough for joints and have a durable exterior that won't split and leak - and they stay cold for extended icing. You just throw the ice inserts into your freezer and take out the ones you need. Beats any other options I've every tried or seen.
