Lamp Switch Enlarger (Pair)

Makes my bedroom lamps so much easier to turn on/off- the only issue I had was when I installed them, I pushed too hard so they went too far back and were too loose on the knob- I pulled them forward (carefully) and they work as designed - they turn the switch beautifully- I only wish I had known about them a long time ago.

We have bought several of these. My only complaint is that my lamps have a long neck on the on/off switch. If you push the adaptor too far on it falls off the knob of the original switch and the circumference is too large to grab on the stem of the original switch. They are hard to get back on the knob and stay there. They are ok for family but not for guests who can't figure them out.

I bought these for my mother who has arthritis and lamp switches are hard for her. These fit over the lamp switches very well but they are too loose so when you turn them it takes more than several turns for the lamp to turn on. She said they didn't help her very much.

The reason I ordered this item is because I have significant bilateral hand weakness following carpal tunnel surgery, and have great difficulty turning lamp knobs. When I received this item & there were no instructions included, with great difficulty I tried a number of different strategies on a number of different lamps to try to get this adapter to work. In the process, I bent the stem of one of lamp switches, and carefully bent it straight with our breaking it off. I was just about to return them when I decided to comb through all the reviews to see if anyone explained how to install. I was very grateful to find the following 2/16/21 instructions from Liliana: "You don't have to remove the original knob. Just pop the grip cover over it and pull it towards you to engage the grippy fins." It worked, and the switch is now very easy to turn! I think the seller was irresponsible not to have included instructions with the product. I advise you to get someone without hand impairment to help you so you too don't botch/bend your lamp switch & have to replace the entire socket. However, once installed, this item makes turning the light on virtually effortless! I ended up ordering one for every lamp switch in my home.

Bought as an arthritis aid. Had high hopes for it to use on many table lamps old and new all with the same style on/off control. Tried on 2 different lamps, one brand new, one 10 years old. This device just spun on the control. I gave up. To return these willl cost me $5 in gasoline! Bah, Basta! When you google something like arthritis aids, make sure you are not on an Amazon site getting the suggestions!

It can be very difficult to determine whether something will fit or even work as expected. These did not work for me, but that may be my fault. The lamp switches are well made, but, unfortunately, were not right for my needs.

These little knobs were a lifesaver for my elderly parents. Made turning the lamps on and off a breeze for stiff fingers. Pretty easy to install, and removal is even easier. Highly recommend.

This product was flimsy rubber, and they didn't fit any of the lamp switches in my mother's house (who I ordered them for) at all. I finally found a couple lamps in my house that they fit, but very loosely. The holes are too big to fit small switches, which is what a person with arthritis has trouble with in the first place. They just flop around and the flanges don't make any contact at all. They BARELY fit a couple lamps I own, that have the larger, bulbous switches, but they even fall off these more often than stay on. I really can't recommend them for purchase at all. Someone told me I could buy complete replacement switches that screw into the lamp itself after removing the original switches, so I guess that is what I need. Don't waste your money on THESE. The seller was good, with fast service, but maybe didn't realize they were selling something that didn't work well at all.
