Wicked sharp right out of the box - the sharpener that came bundled with it works great for any other German steel blades too, even cheaper ones we have that don't hold an edge as well as the MOSFiATA does - but there's still definite improvement over other sharpeners we have. The blade is laser etched with a design that's supposed to look like a folded dsteel pattern present in more expensive forged damascus blades, and while it's easy to recognise as being etched-on, it definitely doesn't look as tacky as I thought it might originally. The blade has good weight to it, and it is balanced well for gripping at the heel of the blade for more control. Pretty good deal on price for this blade compared to other blades of similar quality.

My Victorinox Forschner was brilliant but I just couldn't get the edge back, someone (it wasn't me) thought it would be a good idea to use the blade to tighten or losen a flat headed screw, genius. This knife is comfy, it looks pretty cool, it's insanely sharp, comparible to my Victorinox when it was new which was 4 times the price The blade guard/sheath is super useful for when storing it, haven't found much use for the finger guards. The sharpener is fantastic, I've got a couple different sharpeners and honers but this one works so much better; because of the steel carbide and ceramic sharpeners you can 'cut' a new edge and hone it too, which has brought even my £6 sainsburys knife to do that cool paper thing or shave hairs off your arms. Only thing I would say about the comfort, and it's a getting used to it thing, took me a week or two, is that the way that feels natural to grip it, I'm not sure exactly why, maybe cause there's no natural pinch placement and the handle is so smooth, you end up gripping it way too hard to keep control, and it gets painful. You don't need to do this, it's not going to run away, just hold it normally.

Would really recommend this knife, slices through anything like a dream! Good weight, comfortable handle and comes with a sheath which is perfect for storage if you don’t like knife blocks like me. Super sharp, has really made cooking fun again!

Très bon couteaux, coupe très très bien. Il faut vraiment faire attention avec car très tranchant. Un vrai plaisir de l'utiliser pour la cuisine.
