By the late seventies, The Rolling Stones were unquestionably the world’s greatest rock’n’roll band, a tag they thoroughly deserved and have yet to lose. They had moved effortlessly into open-air stadiums but also began a tradition of performing more intimate shows in theatres and clubs alongside their groundbreaking concerts in arenas. To the delight of their millions of fans, they have continued with this policy to the present. The world really was The Rolling Stones’ oyster in the late seventies, as their Canadian escapades made headlines around the world. They partied at Studio 54, came up with dancefloor favourites "Miss You" and "Emotional Rescue", and recorded in Paris, Nassau and New York. The eighties saw the band stretch the envelope further still, working with jazz great Sonny Rollins, film directors Julien Temple and Michael Lindsay-Hogg, and producers Chris Kimsey and Steve Lillywhite. Amazingly, the Rolling Stones topped these achievements with ever-more ambitious tours in the nineties and noughties, and recorded three more classic studio albums with acclaimed producer Don Was, in Dublin, Los Angeles, France and the Caribbean. First issued in 1980, Emotional Rescue was a transatlantic chart-topper and its infectious title track made the best-sellers list too. Recorded in Nassau in the Bahamas, in Paris and in New York, and produced by Jagger and Richards under their Glimmer Twins guise, it also contains the classic rocker "She’s So Cold", which went Top 40 in both the UK and the US, and "Dance (Pt 1)", another groove-oriented track, which was a club hit in the States. The bittersweet ballad "All About You" features one of Richards’ most affecting vocal performances as well as Bobby Keys’ distinctive saxophone. Corriston used a thermo camera to create the album’s unusual cover, and drew on the same technique for the "Emotional Rescue" video. Review: excellent cd. - prompt service. item as described.no problems. excellent. Review: Superb ! - Best , worst ? Enough of this comparativism ! This is a superbly hedonistic record . Anyone who doesn't enjoy it is probably of a naturally miserable inclination. 'Dance' evokes the heady days of Studio 54 , 'Where the Boys Go' is a glorious cockney stomper , the title track is a masterpiece of sensuality , the rocky 'Summer Romance'and 'Let Me Go' and the reggae-ish 'Send it to Me' are fun songs and 'Indian Girl ' is a tongue in cheek yet soulful C/W style ballad .The bitter-sweetl melancholy of 'All About You' features some nice vocals from Keef , as he kindly informs us that his beloved is 'always the first to get laid and the last bitch to get paid '(!).Finally the brilliant 'She's So Cold' is laugh out loud funny , with Mick singing plaintively of his sexual frustrations . What is wrong with you people ?

She’s So Cold!
Used but in great shape. Sounds so much better than cd. My ma bought this for me when it first came out. I remember the poster that came with it. Last song by Keef is classic!

Very underrated album deserves to be among the Stones best.
One of the most underrated albums recorded by the best rock and blues bands in the world. Needs listening too carefully to appreciate the subtlety of the music. The bluse feel is always under the surface. Great musicianship and song writing throughout.

Some of the reviews seem to regard "Emotional Rescue" as one of the Rolling Stones' weaker albums. However, I'm not getting that vibe at all. In fact, it fits in very nicely with "Some Girls" and "Tattoo You" as part of a trio of some of the band's best rocking albums. Disco was still raging, but even so, the opener "Dance" is still very catchy and sets the tone for a rollicking set. In addition to "Dance", you have a small foray into reggae as well, but the title track and the great rock and roll song "She's So Cold" help keep the pace going, with Ron and Keith's gritty guitars showing everybody what really good rock and roll guitar is all about, and a surprise at album's end, where Keith gets the last song, a jazzy (almost) tune with some sophisticated playing and even some real harmony vocals. Like fans especially love the era from "Beggars Banquet" through "Goat's Head Soup", this trio is equally enjoyable, straight ahead rock and roll like a million bands WISH they could do as well as Mick, Keith and company.

Muy bueno, quizás no es su mejor disco, pero trae algunas rolas rescatables... Sonido Stone!
