Freeman PP123 Pneumatic 23-Gauge 1" Micro Pinner with Belt Hook

Purchased this after looking in Lowes and Home Depot...this was clearly the cheepest and did what I needed done. Some of the trim on my cabinet had come off and to get someone to come in probably would have cost the same or more for what I paid for the gun. If you are like me getting one more tool in the arsenal is always a plus whether you use it one time or ten times...no case but just leave it in the box..came with a pair of safety glasses some allen wrenches, directions which were ver clear and some oil. I did foolishly enough slide the pins in the back of the sleave rather than at the top..after looking at the directions they clearly showed where they went..although this said it was going to be delivered on Tuesday with Prime I ended up getting it first thing Monday morning...took care of the task in five minutes..one could say that you get what you pay for but this feels really good in the hand and does not appear to be made of junk...time will tell but I'm not going to be using this that often so for me well worth it...purchased the micropins on here also for around eith bucks...as usual Amazon kicks butt..

I was originally skeptical about this gun. I normally only buy Bostitch or Hitachi guns, but needed a pin nailer for some fine trim work and decided to give this Freeman a shot. Am I ever glad I did, worth what I paid and more. Very reliable gun and helped me finish my fine trim and them some. Don't really know how I did the same work without one now. I personally have never had a misfire and so easy to load and change nail sizes when I need to, 100% recommend this gun and I build homes for a living and not builder grade homes, but custom homes

At this price it is a surprise - compact, tight, works, no misfires so far in hundreds of shots. Virtually invisible holes attaching quarter round of white oak to similar flooring and baseboard, hard stuff. 3/4 in pins go right into MDF and melamine. Look carefully to find the pointy end of the pins - bought Porter-Cable pins at HD, about 6.50/1000. Use the lube provided - about 3 drops in air port and let it drain in like other pinner guns or brad nailers. I was able to mount the hanger hook left handed and that works but it is not particularly secure. I did drop the thing once on a new floor and made a dent - my mistake. Pinner still works fine. I miss NOT having a safety by pressing the firing point to material before it fires. You can fire this into anything without any pressure, including foot, hand, etc. so beware. Practice to know precisely where these thin pins come out - maybe paint a tiny white stripe on the point. It does not do tacking, stapling, etc. There is no touch fire ability. Angle it carefully to set beading along glass in rabbets of doors or to place trim on custom furniture that you cannot clamp for glue. It sets the pins but does not mar the surface, other than the pinhole. Runs on the small Husky compressor from HD if you need a compressor, set for 90psi. Great for securing edging to shelves when gluing. I have NOT had experience clearing a jam but the manual does describe the procedure. I'm an advanced amateur, not a professional woodworker.

We decided to do a statement wall in our bedroom, we put up vinyl flooring on the wall. We have a bigger nail gun but needed a smaller one that would hold small nails. This one did the job and worked great. We did have a little issue of the nails coming out once and then not work at all. Hubby took it to work and I guy there found the problem and fixed it. It had to do with the mechanism that holds the nails in, somehow it was bent a little and it would not click in place. It would let you shut one nail but after that it was all. After the tweak it worked.

I am a professional carpenter and have used many pin nailers in the $100-$120 range and they all broke within a few months of daily use. thought I would try a cheap one and it if lasted a few months then I would have the same lifespan and save some money. I bought 8 of these knowing that they would break, one lasted 2 days and 2 more broke within the first week. down to 5 of 8 and going to send them all back. if you need this for a one time project its a good purchase for the price. for daily or frequent use you better have a few backups

An easy five stars. Arrived on time, packaging was very good. I own several other air nailers so I am familiar with this type of tool. This one has a great feel, its solid. Bought it because a new project required me to nail 40 pieces of very small molding on a blanket chest. I was concerned about the walnut splitting with my brad nailer so purchased this pin nailer. It functioned flawlessly nailing the moldings to solid walnut. The holes are nearly invisible. This pin nailer is very easy to adjust for different length nails. It also requires daily oiling which I prefer over the oiless nailers. Highly recommend this pin nailer.

A feisty beast! I dont know what the others are complaining about. They must be whiny little princesses. This little bradder shot brads like no tomorrow. All flat and effort free. No marking or any of the other rubbish the other clowns ranted about. It was used on pine, MDF and Australian hardwood. Our hardwoods are a complete PITA and wreck any tool. This bradder shot my beading brads in perfectly. Its heafy, has a good build and feels very precise. As for the people moaning about safety and the lack of anti-stupid-consumer add ons... how about not activating the trigger while its pressed to your leg or scratching your head with it, hey?

This is the fourth freeman product I have purchased. This is the first one that I had no real use for. I bought it just to have one, I am glad I did. The product is well made, and easy to load and use. I have shot maybe 100 pins through it only but have had no problems so far. It is small and is easily positioned exactly where you need it. The pins it shoots are the same pins that every pin nailer on the market shoots, so I will not comment on how great they are as a nearly invisible fastener (I know I just commented but I couldn't help it) Some people complain that the tip isn't a non-marking tip. It cannot be, if it was it would be too bulky to place the pin exactly where you want it. the key to using a pin nailer is knowing how to use it. Do not jam the tip down like you would on a framing nailer. The tiny gun produces very little recoil and very little pressure is required to hold the gun against the work surface. If you are leaving a mark on your wood, you are pressing harder than you need to. About a hundred pins and no jams, no misfires, no problems at all. This is a very good tool that should have received 5 stars. The reason it didn't is because it is the only freeman tool I have purchased that did not come with a case. Granted they all have been flimsy plastic cases that will eventually break but it is at least something to keep it protected and dust free while it is on the shelf until I can build real cases for them. This is a great product that will not disappoint you, and for less money than other brands. For those of you wondering, the other freeman products that I have bought are Freeman PFR2190 21-Degree Full-Head Framing Nailer , Freeman PFL618BR 3-in-1 Pneumatic Flooring Nailer , and Freeman PMC150 1-1/2-Inch Metal Connector Nailer . There will be reviews for those other tools soon.

You are looking at this probably with price being a major concern since most of the others on the market are twice the price. This tool will work, I've only been running it for a couple of months and cannot speak to longevity, but it will pin the trim to the wall, and wood together. So if that is what you are looking for, go ahead.
