Makes spraying lanolin undercoating a breeze
I purchased this spray gun to apply a lanolin undercoat (PB Blaster Surface Shield) to my truck for winter protection. It worked great! I paired it with my 200psi 26gallon Fortress air compressor from Harbor Freight and set it at 85-90psi. It covered quickly with minimal overspray. I didn’t use the extension hoses so I cannot comment on those, but the gun made spraying the undercoat much faster than using aerosol cans. I will be using it once a year so it should hold up well for my needs. There are probably better options for a professional, but it did the job and did it well.

Don’t buy! Update!
To update. The company did replace my sprayer with a new one. Works pretty good so far. I bought this in April but did not have a chance to use it until November.(my bad) I bought this gun to use with PB Blaster Surface Shield. The first vehicle I sprayed it worked okay. The plastic trigger handle did not stay centered on the actual trigger button, it would slip side to side not activating the sprayer. I thought okay I’ll live with that. The next vehicle I went to spray I put the cup on the gun and when tightening it, it went past the lock (that doesn’t exist). I ended up duct taping the cup to the sprayer to keep it on so I could finish spraying the vehicle. The thing is a cheap piece of crap! I guess you get what you pay for. I should have tried it right away, I might have been able to return it…. Very disappointed I would like to update this review. I emailed TCP directly about this spray gun. I received a response within minutes, once supplying them with pictures, I was told the gun would be covered under warranty and a new gun will be shipped out. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE I have now used this gun multiple times and it’s okay, I modified the trigger so it doesn’t slip side to side and modified the extended tips to spray better. If there’s something better on the market buy it!

Great Sprayer for Fluid Film
I used this spray Fluid Film on the underside of my truck bed and frame. The wands were a great addition, allowing maximum coverage in hard to reach spaces. In fact, I probably used the direct spray wand for most of the application. I did need to put a small hose clamp on the hose/fitting where it attaches to the sprayer. I like the wide mouth of the paint container. It made it easy to use an old big spoon to fill the container.

The gun is pretty much trash.
I bought this specifically instead of the ones with the plastic screw on bottles because I thought the all metal construction would be more durable and also because it looked like it would fit easier into tight spots with a container that doesn't hang down as low. Unfortunately, the quality is absolute trash. The connection between the tips and hoses leak like a sieve because they are just loosely slid into the hoses with no seal or clamp whatsoever. The multi-directional nozzle also barely sprays any product, basically making spraying inside cavities impossible with any sort of coverage. Also, the biggest flaw is the product cup doesn't screw on. It just lightly twists on with three little soft aluminum tabs that friction fit into little grooves. These tabs basically completely wear flat after about half a dozen turns leaving the cup with no way to tighten. This results in the cup constantly falling off and spilling product everywhere. Don't waste your time on this thing. It is pretty much worthless. Just do yourself a favor and buy the other style with the plastic cups that actually fully screw on tight.

FRUSTRATING BUT FUNCTIONAL
Picked this up to spray Corrosion Free (an oil based undercoating gel) on my truck. While it worked, I found it very frustrating to operate due to 3 issues: 1) The trigger has a ton of play, and it often slips off the plunger that actuates the airflow. Especially in the least convenient and comfortable times working on your back under a vehicle. 2) The wands do not have any clamps holding the hose on. This is easy to correct but quite silly that we have to. 3) The jar doesn’t really lock on positively. There’s three posts on the jar and three slots on sprayer. Once everything gets greasy as it inevitably does, the jar will slip past the detents and come loose as you are attempting to tighten it. There is a sweet spot but again, frustrating. But here’s the deal. The nicer gun and wand combo here on Amazon is $100. I guess I’m willing to deal with some poor design and save the $60. Because really, this is used once a year. And aside from the design snafus, it does work. I got rid of the regulator and used the one on the tank set to 90 PSI. Less bulk. I also fitted a swivel connection to improve maneuverability in tight spots. All told, with the tweaks it works okay. But it is a cheap tool and not great. I used it with my small 6 gal pancake compressor and it did take a little longer letting the compressor catch it’s breath between applications. But it goes to show you don’t need something huge and expensive to do this yourself! I am also pleased with the Corrosion Free and recommend it.

Best Bang For Your Buck
This is my first review I have ever left for anything I’ve purchased I’m doing that for a reason. For what this is priced at. It is MORE than what you get for your money. 10/10 I was extremely nervous coating my truck and was hoping this would do the job. I took a little extra time assembling it. I used plumber’s tape for all of the valves and screwed on connectors. It did not give me ANY issues whatsoever. I will say the hoses to go inside the frame were not what I expected. Did not necessarily do the trick. But I would buy this again and again.

Extension wands are worthless.
The spray gun would work only with the standard nozzle. I was using it to spray RP 342. The gun required the air pressure to be between 60 and 80 lbs of pressure. The extension wands are not usable at all due to the small diameter. The small diameter creates too much back pressure and forces the fluid out of the vent hole in the cap of the gun. I solved this by using a 1/4 inch brass barbed hose fitting and soldered the threaded end shut and cross drilled it to make a 360 degree nozzle. I used a brass double ended compression coupler which has the same thread as the standard nozzle on the gun end and and 3/8 inch clear plastic flexible poly tube to the barb coupler. This worked very well at about 60 pounds air pressure. It is true that the trigger does not always line up with the valve. The cap does not tighten to the cup very well but you can take a pliers and grab the locking pegs on the inside and outside of the fluide cup and gently bend them toward the inside of the cup which will make the lid secure. Giving the cost of this gun to others on the market it can be made to work very well. AS for the trigger put some epoxy on both sides of the trigger where it meets with the air valve. Unless your willing to make these modifications I would not recommend this gun.

Super easy to use
Super easy to spray undercoat, (woolwax) on my truck and does a nice even coat. Works very well and is easy to use, just make sure to wear gloves and clothes you don’t care too much about because it is a messy process

Done a great job
Never owned a underseal sprayer before. This was a great purchase. Very easy to get to all areas with flexi hose.

Macht NICHT was es soll

Does the job well
Ripper of a product, used it down every channel in resto car for KBS system -Clean -rust blast-then rust seal, found the regulator annoying as it came loose all the time & you have to be carful when closing it - line up the pins locations and the perimeter or it can jam up. I would buy again.

Absolute garbage! I wasted my money.
Absolute rubbish. The tin has a bayonet type fitting and doesn't screw tight. If you over tighten it, it just then loosens and comes off and consequently it's awkward to find the point that its on the tightest. And then this is amplified when the tin if full of liquid and a knock can make it fall off and cover the floor and you with underseal! The trigger is sloppy too so doesn't work unless it's perfectly level which isn't ideal when you're underneath a vehicle spraying at any angle. The pressure regulator didn't work either. Turning it just went from on to off with no regulation. The hoses are too stiff so it's awkward to get into chassis rails. There's just nothing positive I can say about this product other than the price. But as always, you get what you pay for. I have managed to spray the underside of the car, but it will be going in the bin afterwards as its too risky to use as the pot falls off!
