Bandai Hobby MG 1/100 RX-77-2 Gun Cannon Gundam Model Kit

This kit is almost 25 years old and is honestly more solid than some modern ones. All the polycaps are really firmly in place and the way the torso so easily locks and unlocks to remove the core fighter is incredible. The core fighter itself is also great, it almost transforms in one step and looks great even unpainted. Speaking of paint this kit doesn't really need any outside of the pilot figure and the quite large panel divots. A great kit for new and experienced gunpla builders, just make sure you're buying a new kit because if the red runners are exposed to oxygen for a long time they become very brittle (not something that happened to me as mine was a new kit but a very common problem for kits at the time.

Quality.

This kit on amazing for the better part of a year was priced outrageously at nearly 100 bucks. When it finally dropped to 60 I picked one up for myself. The build is quick and easy. Probably a great beginner builder kit as there isn’t much in the way of fine details to have to be concerned about, unfortunately I’m no longer a new builder and felt the tiniest bit sad completing it in a single day. If you did some scribing on it, a custom paint job (although the plastic is already colored and doesn’t require paint), and really dug in to it I’m sure you’d love it. Either way, a solid enough little kit, if not a little old.

An absolutely fun build

One of the original 3 Mobile Suits in the series. One of the bulkier Mobile Suits, Guncannon played a crucial role in the One Year War. Surprisingly easy to put together and has great amount of detail. has a good range of articulation allowing you to get some pretty cool poses. I like the fact that you can either use stickers or dry transfer labels they provide to you. If you are a fan of the Mobile Suite Gundam series then this Mobile Suit is a MUST for your collection, plain and simple.

Probably the most solid "good guy" MG Gundam I have ever built. Stays in whatever pose and hard to tip over, holds everything solidly
