Hasbro Videonow Jr. Player (Yellow/Purple)

WE had considered getting our 4 year old a portable DVD player, but decided to buy a Videonow Jr. She loves it and so do we! She's watching her favorite shows Dora, Blues Clues, Sesame Street and Max & Ruby! Our daughter quickly figured out how to work it. The screen is small but the picture is great. Last night we watched it in bed together. Very cool toy- I would have killed for one of these as a child!

Hard ti find. Great for the little ones. Very durable.

I bought this for my son and in the beginning I was very dissapointed. After a few hours of watching it the batteries died and my son would get so upset, my daughter has video now and she has the same batteries in it from christmas and the batteries have not died yet So I was a little upset. I read one of the other reviews and someone said to invest in rechargeble batteries because it eats up the batteries so I did that and now we are all happy.

My daughter was very excited to receive this - VERY excited - it was going to be for use in the car - long commutes - it SOMETIMES works OK, other times it skips, says no disk etc. I even gave her a pillow to put on her lap to stop the bumps, also the resolution on the screen is VERY POOR. for a 70 dollar item, the resolution should be better, the picture quality should be better and this should not skip as often as it does. Instead of this item, I suggest a portable DVD player

This product is acceptable for preschoolers and younger childeren and can withstand whatever they throw at it. If your child is 4 or older, and listens reasonibly well to directions, I would reconsider this purchase and consider getting a portable DVD player. The limited variety of discs available for this player and their increased cost make this item not as attractive an option as a portable DVD player. Also, if your children are fans of Disney Channel, none of their favorite shows are available in this playing format. My daughter enjoyed watching shows she typically doesn't see, but, with the exception of Clifford, the shows were not entertaining after seeing them 5 times. Most of the shows are ideal for 30 minute drives, so keeping a few on hand (in the case is ideal) is preferrable.

We bought this for a 2 year old for his birthday so he could watch Elmo or one of his other favorites! The player is great in that it is very sturdy but I am giving it a poor rating because if one cannot find anything to play on it, of course it will gather dust in the closet. There are some pvds out there...most of them used and for older kids and more expensive than the average DVD. I'm thinking the really great ratings were from the past when there was a good selection. I would have given it a 2 star but I admit that I did not read carefully that it takes a special disk. That being said, I set out to buy them and couldn't find any disks that were appropriate for my grandson. There are disks for older kids who probably don't need the video jr player!

I got the VideoNow Jr.for my daughter. She loves it. I also got the carry case for it but it did not fit the Jr. player so I lost money when I had to send it back.

This toy is excelent because it is used the same by my 3 year old grandson as well as my 17 months grandson. They can operate it themselves as well as derop it and nothing happens.
