money and space saver - great product!
This is a well-designed "peg" for curved soprano saxophones that makes use of stands I already own. With the outer hole, you can screw it on a stand using the clarinet/flute peg (as shown), or attach using the inner hole with a basic wing nut and bolt (less than $1 at a hardware store), which is what I've done. It is very sturdy and the instruments rest quite securely, although without a larger horn in the center of the stand to offset the weight, the stand to which the peg is attached may wobble slightly if not properly leveled. I bought two of these for use at home and on gigs and they do not disappoint - saves money, space, and makes for a bit less to carry when schlepping a lot of gear. An enthusiastic recommendation without any reservation.

Great Stand!
The stand works great. It holds the sax well, but also loose enough that you can pick it up quickly. The foam that covers the holding arms is just the right amount of padding, and this foam has a way of keeping the soprano from flopping over. Yes, the hole is pretty small, but do you expect them to make 10 different models with 10 different hole sizes for 10 different types of sax stands? Give me a break! If the hole's too small for your stand, stop at the Harbor Freight and pick up a needle file for a buck, and ream out the hole until it fits your stand properly. Is that really too much to ask?

My Yani curved sits very nicely on this peg
My Yani curved sits very nicely on this peg, and the peg does have two mounting holes, one larger, so it works on my Hercules alto stand. But, if I have the sop peg at the same angle as the alto, and I take the alto off the stand when there are no other horns on the stand, the weight of the sop will make it lean backwards. I solved this by mounting the sop peg at the same direction as the leg of the stand, and now it won't tip backwards if the sop is the only horn on the stand. Otherwise it's great and there is just enough room for a flute or clarinet on the peg used to mount the sop peg.

Perfect for curved soprano sax
This attachment works great if your current sax stand has a peg for a clarinet or flute. I just unscrewed mine and drop it on. Tighten up the peg and very sturdy. My soprano sax only had 6” from the top of bell to bottom curved area. My compliments to the engineer who designed this holder.

Terrible design and workmanship
Well maybe I just got a lemon reading these other reviews, but what arrived on my doorstep is just junk. First, to sell this WITHOUT the bolt you'll need to connect it to your base stand is simply stupid. Once I got back from the hardware store and hooked it up, I realized that the lower brace's right part was nearly twice as long as the left, resulting in its bumping into the bell holes. As a result, it only sits in the stand while shifted dangerously to the left. Moreover, it EASILY tips over, as the curve isn't deep enough. And I'm talking about the same Yanagisawa SC991 that others are talking about. Piece of junk. AND overpriced: $25 PLUS they charged nearly $11 for shipping! Wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole, and it's going back pronto.

Hole is way too small!
The Idea is great,I looked everywhere on-line for a curved soprano stand, however, the hole that is suppose to attach to another stand, was way too small to fit either the two Hercules stands, or the On Stage stand I have. I had to bore the hole bigger in order to be able to attach it. Very poor design.

It fits my Yani SC-991 like a glove
It fits my Yani SC-991 like a glove. Perfect fit! It is also very stable, don't understand the tipping problem in some reviews as I don't have that problem at all, like I said very stable. The stand is very well made and comes with two different sized mounting holes. It's a much better deal than some of the exceedingly expensive stands I've seen. A great product. Update: You need to position the stand so that it is parallel with the leg that it is being mounted to. You will find that it is very stable that way. Do not position it the way that is shown in the picture of the stand. Rotate it 90 degrees from the way it is shown in the picture with the stand facing outwards and parallel to the leg it is mounted on.

Great solution for curved soprano
Amazing attachment if you have a curved soprano. Can fit my Alto, Soprano, and a Clarinet (or if you have a flute) on my stand now. I would just add to make sure the weight of the soprano is distributed on the leg (otherwise it will tip over if you remove the Alto and leave the soprano on the stand) See pic where soprano is by itself for reference. 100% happy with purchase
