The Other Boleyn Girl

I really liked this film. The scenery was beautiful, the acting was excellent, and they made the story line very easy to follow. You got invested in the characters, too. If you ever thought old English history was boring, this film will change your mind. It shows that people - and families - were doing the same scheming and awfulness that some people and families are doing today. And it makes you want to go straight to watching a great movie about the little girl featured at the very end of the film- the little girl who went on to be Queen Elizabeth the First. "The Other Boleyn Girl" shows how Anne Boleyn was killed largely because she bore Elizabeth, and not a son. So how did Elizabeth go on to rule? This movie makes you curious about that! The only faults I see in this movie is that in real life, Henry VIII wasn't that young, healthy, and good looking when he was seducing and bedding the Boleyn sisters back in the 1520s or 1530s. The actor playing Henry VIII was just too young and good-looking. And the Boleyn sister's uncle, played by David Morrissey (remember The Governor, from the Walking Dead TV series?) was a bit too over-the-top evil. But that's it. So this movie is a must-see, when it comes to filling the "historical movies" box on your movie checklist. I highly recommend it.

If you are interested in the Tudor Era, this is a great addition to your "Watch List". It is not exactly "historically accurate", but it's still a nice representation of some otherwise forgotten & maligned characters in history. Based on the books by Philippa Gregory. I also recommend the series "The White Queen", "The White Princess" "The Spanish Princess" & "The Tudors". "Becoming Elizabeth" was also great, but it stopped after 1 season, so left off at the death of little Edward....

I really enjoyed watching The Other Boleyn Girl. It's this intriguing historical drama that takes you deep into the world of the Tudor court. The whole story, filled with ambition, betrayal, and family drama, kept me hooked. Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson did an amazing job bringing the complex relationship between Anne and Mary Boleyn to life. The costumes and set design were so well done; they really transported me back to that period. Sure, it might not stick to every historical detail, but if you're into captivating period pieces with a mix of family drama and political intrigue, this one's a winner.

Interesting movie about history

I enjoyed the movie, and the acting was very good. Remember this is a movie - not a documentary. Some "creative liberties" were taken. For example, in the movie, Anne is portrayed as the older sister, but in real life - Mary was the older sister. The Boelyn girls did not meet Henry VIII via a dinner invite at the Boelyn home - they met in court. The end of the movie implies that Mary raised Anne's daughter Elizabeth, but that did not happen. Creative liberties aside, I found the movie enjoyable, and it does give a glimpse as to what it was like in Tudor times. The Tudors are my favorite historical figures.

I always like english history and have been fascinated by the amn bolyn story. This gives you a look at what it could have been like. But most of all, I think it's very well cast. Actresses and actors are great. And the costumes. And scenery are also top notch.

I love this movie. It’s a great mix of drama and history all in one. It is one of my favorite historical dramas.

An interesting version of the Henry Vlll-Anne Boleyn love story. Not as good as The Tudors. But for lovers of historical romance, it's worth watching.

届いたのが５月３０日ではなく、６月４日だったので、少し戸惑いましたが、届いて鑑賞したところ、全く問題ありませんでした。ただし、字幕に日本語のものがなかったのが、惜しい点です。英語は十分理解できますので、問題ないのですが、 学生が見せる場合はやはり、日本語の字幕が必要だと感じています。他は大満足です。
