I use this new mandolin for Christmas dinner to slice potatoes for gratin. I found it a little clunky to operate, but slice the potatoes beautifully. A word of warning about how sharp the blade is. When one of the slices got wedged under the blade, I barely touched it to try to push the potato down into the base and cut my finger. Very painful and bled quite a bit. Not the way you want to spend Christmas Day with a bandaged finger. Product works well, and I am generally pleased with it.

First off, a PSA. Wear the (provided) glove. The blades are sharp, very sharp. This thing is just the trick for potatoes Au Gratin/Scalloped potatoes, thin sliced onions for burgers, banana chips for drying, or anything else of the sort. I must confess that I've never been particularly good with a chef knife, so slicing fruits and vegetables uniformly, and quickly, without dismembering my hand, is akin to a magical experience. Also, OCD sorts will appreciate the uniformity of slice thickness, I bet. It's a snap to clean it as well, due to the small number of parts, and relatively small overall size. Well worth the money.

Great kitchen tool! Super sharp though!

It is a very good mandolin, works fine, is very easy to deal with. Overall I am happy. Maybe just a little disappointed it is very small. On one hand some will find that an advantage as it takes up less space on the counter or storage but for me it is not very comfortable to work in such a narrow space. It's my fault that I didn't pay enough attention to the specifics and trusted the photos. Update: September 8 - Is indeed very small and I find it hard to work with. I am a big guy that likes to prepare his own salads and I find the size of this mandolin hard and awkward to work with. The blades are not that good except for the slicers that work reasonably and as for the spiralizer I never used it so far. I tried to add some raw turnip and raw eggplant to my salads that I usually add in thin like Julianne sticks and it was impossible to deal with such hard texture. The blades are not the best and I had to revert to my old mandolins that have blades already very dull and I got better performance with those old tools. This may be very good for ladies with smaller hands and less hard vegetables. I'm sure it will work well with cheese and soft things that I rarely use.

Ik raad dit product zeker aan! Het is goed, stevig en vooral een scherp product! Bij de eerste keer komkommer snijden heb ik zo een stukje van me vinger mee eraf gesneden (Ik voelde er niks van en zonder enige troubles of moeite was het er zo vanaf!) Dus ik heb bij het gebruik van dit product een gratis ritje erbij gekregen naar de huisarts. Top product!

It's perfect for what I need. I like the convenience of the collection tray. Its so fast and easy to put together and easy to use. I also like the fact I have the safety glove when using the sharp slicers. Plus there are so many other pieces for food preparation. Love the orange juicer and zester. What I truly like is that it is so thick, strong and sturdy.

Cette mandoline et de très bonne qualité, mais il faut faire très attention car les lames sont plus tranchantes que celle d'un rasoir. Il faut mettre le gant qui est fourni ou alors faire très attention car ma femme s'est coupée avec.
