Elegear Arc-Chill 3.0 Cooling Blanket for Hot Sleepers, Twin Size, Grey

I usually sleep hot and our bedroom tends to get warmer at night, so I decided to try this cooling blanket. It arrived the next day and I’ve been using it since. I really like how it feels on the skin, it’s a smooth silky material and it indeed cools you off. It definitely works and I don’t sweat so much in the middle of the night. I sometimes use it during the day as well while working. It also looks really pretty and matches our bedroom decor during the day.

With the summer heat in full swing, this Elegear cooling blanket has been a great addition to our bed. We still use our regular sheets underneath, but this blanket adds a genuinely noticeable cool-to-the-touch layer that makes a real difference on those hot, humid nights. It's not just a gimmick — you can actually feel it absorbing the heat, which is exactly what it promises to do. We really love this blanket. It does, in fact, cool. It cools better with a fan on. But definitely works without a fan either. We loved it so much, we bought 3. The only con is that it is very slippery. It can easily move to either side of the bed with slight movement at night. It did help a little by tucking in the bottom under the mattress. And folding the top into our top sheet. Obviously for us. It was worth it to keep it. And buy more.

Very cool and comfortable ❄️ I absolutely loved this blanket. The fabric feels cool to the touch and is perfect for hot nights, as I can stay covered without overheating. This is literally the best blanket I own. I'm autistic and typically cannot sleep without a blanket. The problem with that is that my bedroom is on the second story of my townhouse apartment and it gets pretty hot up there some nights. There are also other times where I want the sensation/pressure of a blanket but am too warm for one. This solves both of those issues and in fact I have actually gotten TOO cold with it at night a few times (we have a portable AC and fan in the room too and when used in conjunction with the blanket it is soooo nice!). I got the purple one since purple is my favorite color.. this is more of a lavendar color but still a really nice shade. I like that the cooling side has a bit of a pattern on it so that you can more easily distinguish it. This blanket is very lightweight and has a nice texture. Oftentimes I'll go get it from my room and use it while sitting on the couch too. I've had it for less than a week and am already planning on purchasing at least one or two more (one for my couch/traveling and one for my partner). Do make sure to read the care instructions- mine said to only wash once or twice a year to keep the cooling stuff working properly, and to hang dry it in the shade (do NOT use the dryer!) so if you're like me and plan to use it a lot you may want to do what I plan on doing and get a couple of these if you are able to do so.

Let me start by saying I love these blankets. I was one of the first 500 people to buy one of these blankets (back in September/October 2019 based on the number of reviews at the time) and I’ve ONLY used these blankets ever since. They are the only ones that truly cool bring my body temperature down as opposed to just being cool to touch. They work even better when used in an air conditioned room but it’s really not necessary. The materials of the satiny, cooling side actually turn the heat that your body puts off lower temperature. The other nice thing is the other side of the blanket, the soft cotton side, does keep you warm. It holds the in some of the heat your body puts off making it the only blanket you’ll need for year round use. I call them my magic blankets. With that being said I feel like I need to say I’m seriously disappointed in the quality. I have gotten 6 in the past year and they are so pilled on the cooling side that they are no longer smooth and satiny. That also decreases the effectiveness of the material. That makes them pretty over priced because they only last 2-3 months of nightly use before losing effectiveness. I got my first one in the fall of 2019 and this review is for my 6th one. I have only hand washed them and hung them up to dry on a drying rack in my bathroom to prevent any damage. It generally takes 2 full days to dry. So right off the bat you need to have 2 of them so you can alternate them especially if you are like me and really NEED your body temp lowered due to health problems. I still use all of them for the warming side when needed because at $50 for a TWIN size, they are to expensive to just toss out when they are no longer as effective. The difference in cooling is unmistakable between a new one and one that’s all pilled up. The other issue is, and I understand why it’s necessary, having to hand them to dry. For a twin size blanket they are heavier then you might think when they are wet. It’s not an easy task to hand wash, then carefully fold (not wring) to press out the extra water (it holds a ton!), then hang up on a sturdy drying rack (most shower rods won’t hold the weight) that has to be placed over or inside of the bathtub (because TONS of water comes out of these as they dry), then wait 2+ days to use your bathtub. I suppose in the summer months you could dry them faster outside, I would never be able to carry 1 downstairs then through the house to get outside. I see they’ve come out with comforters now. I’d LOVE to try one because I do miss the fluffy softness of comforters. I am afraid to try one and it not be as amazing as these thinner ones. I know it’s returnable but I’m not lucky enough to be able to have my money all tied up waiting on a return and still be able to get the one I need in the meantime, most people aren’t. I still recommend these to everyone I know and I do hope they fix the issue with the pilling so they last longer.

During the wintertime, my wife likes to keep the house a little warmer at night than I do. So in the interest of marital harmony, I decided to give this blanket a try, using it in combination with the comforter I normally use. Not really sure of the best way to combine the two covers, I tried all four possible combinations for at least two nights each way. Here's what I learned: Combo #1 - blanket UNDER comforter (i.e. next to me), shiny (nylon/polyethylene) side DOWN: VERY cool at first, but the temperature rose pretty gradually over about an hour to the point where it was definitely hotter than the comforter alone (which makes sense, as the comforter acted as an insulating layer; the heat absorbed by the blanket pretty much stayed under the comforter)! Combo #2 - blanket UNDER comforter, shiny side UP: started off at a pretty similar temperature as that of the comforter by itself, then rose a bit over about 30 minutes to the same level as Combo #1. Again, not the solution I was looking for. Combo #3 - blanket OVER comforter, shiny side UP: this was the definitely the hottest! After about 2 hours each of the nights I tried it, I was sweating and couldn't take any more! Combo #4 - blanket OVER comforter, shiny side DOWN (as in the video): THIS was the method I was looking for! After about an hour, the temperature was clearly cooler than the comforter by itself, but not SO cool that it was uncomfortable. I'd say that the level of cool stabilized after about four hours. Since finding the best solution for my needs (Combo #4), I have been sleeping more comfortably than I ever have been able to during my 15-year marriage to my heat-loving wife! It is no exaggeration to state that this blanket has changed my life for the (much) better. Moreover, after my experimenting with it, I'm certain that it will work (as advertised) to keep me comfortably cool in the summer as well! One final point (also mentioned in the video): because the nylon (cooling) side can be really slippery on fabric, I've found it useful to secure the corners to my comforter with safety pins. This is not at all a bother; in fact, the safety pins help me make my bed in a flash! I think you'll find this blanket to be well worth the money.

Was sceptical at first about cooling blanket,but after reading all reviews..give it a try. Since on BF Sale less then $20!!. Amazingly it works! specially during menopause periods when our body in roller coaster hot flush. Material has weight but surprisingly keep cool and comfortable.Was afraid it's like normal polyester,but it's not. high quality fabric. Easy to wash and let it dry less then 3 hours!!. Recommended for Singapore weather. Will order again!! UPDATE. in the end re-ordered 5 more for family and friends! Never regret. Only regrets if price increased after sales😂

I wasn't really sure this product would work as typically I cannot tolerate synthetic fabrics. They make me sweat more. But I was desperate and with the Queensland summer arriving early I took a chance on a friends recommendation. I also get menopause night sweats and wake several times a night pulling blankets off and then on when I cool down. Disrupted sleep doesn't work well for me. With a regular sheet and the blanket it is warm. With just the blanket next to the skin it really is very cool, almost cold, even though I haven't used a fan yet, but will when the humidity arrives. I have tried all sorts of cooling mats and mattress toppers. They all are like cling wrap. They don't breathe and get hot. None work like this blanket. The blanket is very slippery and can slide off the bed. However, it is thin enough to tuck under the outside hip without twisting my body/spine. And my partner can't pull it off then either. Both of us are cool and comfortable. If you are a hot sleeper this is a must have. It makes all the difference to your sleep. Now to find if they make this in clothes lol!

Erg fijn dekentje om tijdens de hete zomeravonden toch iets op je te hebben en dan ook nog iets dat je lichaam iets afkoelt. Het formaat vind ik ook erg fijn. Ik heb inmiddels deze ook gewassen (30 graden). Het drogen deed ik niet in de droger maar met ophangen. Dit dekentje was erg snel droog en zelfs extra cool na het wassen.

You see it’s like this: summers are very hot here but I like to have something over me when I sleep (because of the ghosties, you understand) and this works really well. When you first touch the cool side it feels thrillingly cool - this sensation will fade, but I have found sleeping with it over me instead of a bed sheet is both cooler than just a sheet and cooler than just the air. It’s like it shields me from the hot air. It doesn’t feel like it’s actively chilling me all night long but I don’t get hotter and I sleep comfortably. I really like it so much that I’ve ordered another one.
