screened hose washers
These screened washers work very well to stop the rubber that is coming off the inside of my hose. The hose is old and seems to be gradually disintegrating but it still works well so I do not want to replace it yet. But the material is clogging up sprayers and sprinklers so these washers work well to catch that material.

They work but will fall out if you are removing hose for winter. The little side tabs are just a little too short and don't engage the brass hose faucet enough to stay in place.

Keep garbage out of your garden hoses.
Use these in all my water hoses to filter out large sediment pieces. Pros: Keeps large sediment pieces out of water hoses. Cons: Plugs up when pumping water from open sources and restricts water flow so needs to be checked regularly.

High quality, proper screen size, and leak-proof.
These are highly quality gaskets. Just what I needed to filter the cold water coming into the hose of my washing machine. The screen is just the right size and the gasket works very well to prevent leaks. Highly recommend.

Small
These are smaller than the ones I get from the local store, and have less filter screen area (they will get plugged up quicker). See the pic. The one on the right, closest to the package, is this product. It lacks the centering nubs too. I have to say these are usable, but not what I want.

These work well for me
As some people have noted, these washers are just a bit loose (but only a bit). But since I use quick connectors on all my garden hoses and tools, the connector holds them in place nicely. Snug them down and there are no leaks. Can't beat the price. The ones at my local hardware store cost about $2.00 each. If you're constantly screwing and unscrewing hoses and attachments, yes, these will fall out fairly easily. Any connection that is relatively permanent will be fine.
