Works great after years of use. Sunex has always been my preferred brand on a budget.

I bought 3 pole jacks. x2 from Sunex & one that was $20 more expensive from another seller. All 3 where delivered at the same time. I opened & assembled the more expensive one first hoping it was a good quality jack because I had ordered the x2 less expensive ones from Sunex to be spares. I assumed that because they where cheaper, they would be less quality. Lucky for me this was not the case. I was a little disappointed in the first jack that I opened. It was ok but definitely not the quality I was hoping for. After seeing how wobbly it was, I assumed that the x2 less expensive Sunex brand jacks would be the same or worse, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Sunex brand was much better quality. Everything about it was better. They are just built better & do not wobble at all. The more expencive brand will go in the corner & be my spare, I am more than happy with the cheaper Sunex brand. If I had the chance to see them both before buying them, I would have paid more than I did for the expensive one that I bought.

Works well good quality, would’ve liked a better price

I'm so used to being disappointed by low quality items these days, it was a total shock to discover quite the opposite applied with a pair of recently delivered Sunex 6809A stands !! Pro quality items, with perfectly formed threaded components, superb welding, heavy gauge steel all round and the vital 'Thrust Bearing' which is missing from so many inferior designs. Even the paint finish was perfect, protected during shipping by some well designed packaging. My only suggestion to improve this product would be to have a height adjustable column tube with 4 or 5 position holes and a locking pin for faster set up (as found on most 2ton 'Tripod' type stands) instead of a very long and slow Acme threaded section. Nevertheless, thank you for a product that will last a lifetime !!

This underhoist support stand is very sturdy. The lift nut rides on a ball bearing, thrust bearing. The only thing that I would like to see done differently would be to have a slot machined into the lift screw, with a "key" to keep the screw from spinning when you turn the lift nut. You have to hold the lifting screw with one hand while turning the nut with the other hand.
