SUNNY GUARD 10' x 13' Rectangle Shade Sail 95% UV Block Outdoor Canopy

I bought this as a temporary fix and to see if we want to install something more permanent. I have been nothing but impressed with how it’s held up especially since it was really just temporary! It has seen 30 mph North Dakota gusts and is quite durable in my opinion. Looking closely at my crude connection points, I would say it is built for just about any installation you can imagine.

Our house came with an interior courtyard off the front door. It’s a beautiful design and we enjoy the courtyard except for the summer months. Living in high desert northern Nevada, the sun can make the courtyard feel like the surface of the planet Mercury. It gets so hot you can’t hardly walk across the tile barefoot. Forget about sitting out there except for early morning before sunrise. The residual heat makes evenings unbearable also. So I wanted to find some sort of sunshade and came across this product. I debated between a square or triangle design, but ultimately went with square to give the most coverage. I like this seller cause I could practically custom order the exact size I needed. I measured the courtyard and bought a foot short on each side per their suggestions and it worked out perfectly! This product is very very well-made. The seams are incredibly strong and the reinforced stitching around the four D rings are much appreciated. I installed this myself and it was incredibly easy. I drilled a pilot hole and installed 3/16 inch eyelets into the wood blocking under the eaves. For now I’m using the fabric ties that came with the sunshade. Maybe someday in the future I might install turnbuckles. But for now I plan to keep this up just during the summer months. Spring winter and fall are very comfortable, and the sun sits lower so it’s not as hot. But June through September will be the right time of year to put this up. I’m very happy with this product and it has transformed our courtyard from Vesuvius to the garden of Eden!

It is a good overhead tarp it is made very good. It will not break on you. It will last for a long period of time. Hopefully a couple years. The material is a strong polyester and the sun protection is a medium just because a lot of sun still does get in. It doesn’t fully protect you from the sun cause it is ment for shade putting it up was very easy. You just have to attach the bracket to something sturdy that won’t move and hang it and thickness of the material is better than average. I would recommend

Love this sun shade. Had an umbrella for years. But Michigan winds can come from nowhere and all of a sudden, umbrella gone. This has been great. Much better coverage and was super easy to install. Looking at a similar product for me deck railings for some wind blockage and privacy.

We mounted this shade on our deck today between a covered pergola and the house. It's an area that really bakes in the TX afternoon sun. The dimensions of the pergola determined the size we could use. I previously ordered another brand only to find that the measurements were very deceptive. This shade sail measures just what it says at the midpoints in both direction. The corners are elongated so you have to take that into account for your anchor points. The formula shown with the product is vaguely helpful, but depending on the hardware you choose, the anchor points will probably adjust farther out than the formula suggests. So mounting it is a bit trial and error, but it worked out very well. I was glad to have the suggested turnbuckle and anchor set. The quality of the shade seems very good, especially the reinforced edges and d-rings. The sail isn't going to get a full summer's workout, but there's plenty of heat left for us through September. The hooks on both ends of the turnbuckles are rather open so we'll see how they perform in gusty weather or storms.

I tend develope a red rash on my face after sun exposure even if I have not gotten a sunburn and my doc has told me to be very careful to using protective clothing and sunscreen because of this. We purchased the " Sunny guard sunshade sail " because the product claims they use a, " fabric that Blocks up to 95% of harmful UV rays and direct sunlight exposure."Breathable" fabric allows air to pass freely and achieve a certain degree of cooling. " I've personally found this to be true. A few days I accidentally forgot sunscreen and after being on my patio for about 4 hours there was still no red rash on my face nor any other symptoms to suggest I had been outside for so long. I also find it greatly reduces the temperature underneath the shade to a tolerable point. Since being able to freely enjoy being outdoors it feels as if we'd increased the actual living space of our home. We would absolutely buy it again and recommend it 100%!!

The color is gorgeous. I hung in my pergola for sun protection and wisteria petal blocking on my outdoor dining table and chairs. It is beautiful and elevates my space while adding to ease of housekeeping duties. Highly recommend.

My main issue with this product is its UV protection. It's described as providing 95% protection. In my experience, this is not accurate. As for the quality of the D-rings and stitching, the product is consistent with its online description. The charcoal colour is a light to medium grey, I was expecting a darker colour.

The mesh for this shade sail was defective, with several large holes. When completing the return process, the seller did not proved a postage-paid return label. And a reminder to myself to always check the "ships from" info. This product comes from the US, with additional return postage required.
