Was somewhat surprised that screw size and threads matched, especially after I later dismantled the swivel ball end of the suction cup assembly to get the rectangular end piece (this used a much smaller screw size). Works perfect with both 7 inch TomTom and 7 inch Garmin GPS navigator units. Unfortunately the spring can weaken and may not fully close without GPS navigator present.

Also bought this for my brother as per his request, he seems happy with it...suction is good and he enjoys having it on the windshield.

I disliked about the equipment was it lined up with the side buttons. It doesn't stay still while driving.
