It's always good to have more darts. Lol. The more darts, the more fun. It's really up to you. The mega darts are a little more expensive the regular ones.

I can't rate the raperstrike, but we had a lot of trouble with that particular nerf gun, right off the bat. All the other nerf products we've had have been pretty reliable.

Q: how do you attach the cocking bolt to the gun?

Judith, I bought this for my nephew and do not know how to attach the cocking bolt. So Sorry.

Q: how often does it jam

My 11 year old grandsons have had the gun jam a couple of times. My 18 year old grandson uses it and has no problem with it jamming. They love the guns.
