The monkey is very cute. i received lots compliments. I used to have ball tea filter. The chain tangles, or break, or slip of the rim, drive me crazy. No more fuss. This monkey is good. I should say the hands fit better for a 20 oz diameter BIG mug, so the arms are too long for my regular mug. Then again the water cools too quickly if use 20 oz Big mug. I just let the arms rest on the mug rim and let the hands dangle over the mug. You can adjust tea strongness by fill the tea leafs to tummy and head or just the tummy or just the head part. Tray is a little too small, monkey for some reason doesn't stand well on it. Wish the tray is bigger for the monkey to lay on it. But that is OK. I am glad it is stainless steel, rust free. I bought two.After few weeks of usage, I found out if I let the monkey hands dangle over the mug, the tea leaves in the monkey head never sim in the water, because the monkeys hands can not bend close enough to its head to let the head sink into the water. So I fold the hands, and let the monkey dive into the water entirely.

As soon as this little guy came in the mail he got a good washing and we went for a test run and it was flawless. This is a great tea infuser. I love it! It is large enough to accommodate plenty of loose tea and large fruit chunks and you could even put tea bags in it if you are like me and hate dealing with the string and mushy bag after the tea has steeped. Plus, it just looks so awesome!No complaints from me, the only thing I would say is you would need to be careful in wash and use as the hinge at the bottom that holds the parts together is small and when you open the infuser it does move around quite a bit so it would be somewhat breakable in the hands of kids or if you are in a rush washing it up. Other than that, no worries from me so far and I can't wait to use it again! This is a great purchase!

I bought the Monkey Tea infuser even after reading the reviews that say it leaks leaves. How could I not? It made me laugh. And I was happy to discover that those who complain the body does not close tightly are not using it right. As many have noted, there are two tabs which keep the monkey closed. These tabs are at the top of its head. What the reviewers then say is that the body doesn't stay together tightly and allows it to leak leaves. This is only true if you don't operate the device correctly. At the Monkey's shoulders, on one half there are two rivet heads which the other half snaps into. If you close the monkey only at the head, there will be an open seam where the body halves meet. You must then give it a gentle squeeze at the shoulders. It then clamps shut, and keeps your tea in. I have used it for about ten cups so far. Little leaf pieces can leak out of the perforations in the monkey's body, as with any infuser of this type. It generally works well.

What can I say about this little robot? He is small, cleverly designed, and makes a mean cup of tea!He is the perfect size to hold a decent amount of tea and almost ensures a perfect cup when you feel him. The stainless steel is easy to clean and setting up/feeling the infuser takes about 15 seconds. The arms bend enough to allow him to fit almost any cup. The arms, however, are rigid and not flexible, so sometimes it is hard to get the infuser deep enough in the water to get it to saturate all of the tea leaves. If there is one thing I would suggest improving, it would be making the arms flexible and allowing a perfect fit to the cup. Also, some blinking lights would be cool (joking.... or am I?).The Kikkerland Robot Tea Infuser does its job well and allows you to enjoy your favorite cup of tea.

Loved this idea when I saw it on Amazon. Bought 4 of them, one for me and 3 to give away as gifts. I love mine and use it all the time (it still makes me smile every single time I use it). Everyone I gave one to loves theirs exactly as much as I love mine. I have seen other people commenting that their steepers leak the loose leaf tea and spoil their experience. I didn't have that problem, neither did I hear that complaint from any of the three people who got these robot steepers as gifts from me. Even if mine did leak though, I wouldn't be troubled by that since in my opinion that wouldn't ruin my tea.I recommend this with complete confidence, especially as an impressive, inexpensive, cute, conversational piece gift.

I have been consuming tea since my youth. I feel so connected to the drink as to imagine that I have been consuming it even longer. I hear tell from my cousin, the well-traveled Lord James T. Brewster, that some peoples living in the outer reaches of our wide empire subscribe to a believe in so-termed "reincarnation." I do not know the teachings with exactitude, but my connection to tea feels as though it dates back many lifetimes. Its warm and full-bodied herbaceousness subsumes my tongue in amniotic wonder; its psychological effect clarifies my mind and stimulates my heart.This little wonder brightens the experience, adding novelty to a process so familiar as to be second nature to any honorable lady or gentleman. Joy in small places, it is said, extends a lifetime by a million years. Placing his delicate arms on the cup's lip and allowing the boxy fellow to sink into warm water, releasing a plume of brown that slowly infiltrates the mug's full contents, is a genuine treat that has yet to fail to bring a smile to my wizened face. It is most unfortunate, then, that the dram ultimately produced by this product can be somewhat subpar. No proper tea should provide anything on which to chew, and I find that his seeping leaves will occasionally journey to my mouth during a relaxing pull on the brew. One must balance, then, the delight of making use of this fellow and the distaste of one's tea; is life worth living a million years more if it is one with leaves in your tea? Or is a life better enjoyed properly but of shorter duration? I find that using this fellow on the right occasions can bring a smile to my face, but I must be in a mood to be unmoved by a leaking steeper.I do recommend this device. The small, boxy man adds wonder to an experience so comfortable as to date back, perhaps, to many of my lifetimes.
