Chocolate Kinako Mochi - Let's Make with Water

This was a very interesting DIY candy kit. The texture is the oddest part. The wafer Mochis turn from rock hard to slimy/chewy when you pour water on them almost instantly. They very little actual flavor. They kind of remind me of the outside of those Hawaiian candies that have the paper that dissolves if you've ever had that. I wouldn't say it's bad or good, just flavorless. But, if you are a big texture person, you may not like it.The powder almost reminds me of a peanut taste, but I'm pretty sure it's soy. The chocolate is alright, but it's not really strong chocolate flavor. I do recommend putting the mochi into the powder first, then chocolate as the chocolate will slide right off.Overall, it was a good experience. I don't think I'd buy it again, but I'm glad I tried it. I'd like to try the real thing one day and see if it's a little tastier, though!(If you're looking at the photos-I probably used way too much water, but they don't say how much to add. I don't think it ruined anything as the texture seemed similar to what I've seen on other people's videos of this kit).

I thought I would be mixing something with water and forming it into shape, like the other kits, This one just works by sprinkling water on some discs, which then expand into "mochi" that you dip in the included sauces. The taste is good, but the kit was kind of boring.

This took more than a month to get here but my daughter loved it.

This is NOT A SMORES KIT. ive seen so many people buy it and think that, it is mochi with kinako which is soy bean powder and kinda a required taste, I heard some compare it to peanut butter in flavor, I feel its a bit more savory than that. but the mochi tho it isn't all that convincing in texture I do recommend it if you never had mochi before, the kit is very good and the chocolate tastes amazing!
