This was a journey, but it took me longer than 40 days, however, I learned how to become more silent. I'm not all the way there yet, but I know there's real benefits.

God brought this resource to me, the book of the same title recommended at a business conference. I listened to the book on audio. I chose to go through this slower, a daily rhythm, given that I am a professional and have been going through health challenges. It was so well-timed to my life. I may shift to Book of Common Prayer while still working on stillness before God and meditating on Scripture.

Great information

It is very good .... Sat and Sun. readings are shorter which is nice.It is easy to read, but it takes thought to really ponder and think through the meaning ... which is good.If you want to be challenged, this is for you.

This helped me embrace the habits of the daily office, sabbath and a rule of life. It opened the door to new habits that I will continue to experiment with going forward. Ultimately it isn’t a rigid model, but helped me to embrace a deeper and perpetual intimacy with God.

Absolutely gem! Just the devotional by itself is fantastic but if you really want to go deep you should get the book as well.
