Nordic Ware Deluxe Plate Cover, 10"

My first thought was it seems thin and fragile, easily breakable. However; so far so good. We use this product daily. No mess no nothing. It's simple fits the plates well seems to be just the right size, easily washable and it gets used constantly. More importantly, the wife loves it, no more microwave explosions to clean! I think it was the chili incident that prompted me to buy this item and yes it was I that did it. I now have my microwave privileges restored as long as I use this cover. We have yet to accidentally drop it to see how it stands up to that. Other than that, I can't find a single reason not to own one of these if you own a microwave you will love this product! UPDATE: Nordic Ware says its BPA free! enough with the BPA warnings they do not apply to this product. We have used this for 7 months now without issue! Seems like the vast majority of the reviews agree this is a great product. Sure there will always be a few people who encounter some sort of issue. I stand behind my recommendation at least until I run into any issue. I doubt I will but rest assured I will tell you about it. I will buy another if I ever need to. My favorite complaint was "it wont vent if you stack a dish on top of it". Hmmm, ya think? Of course it wont vent your covering the vent hole. Lets try and remember our reviews need to be fair or they are not helpful! Let's not blame the product for our stupidity. It's 11" people. It states that clearly. Those of you who are complaining, "it's not large enough for your plates". OK never mind I give up. You can't please everyone. However; like I said nearly all of us who reviewed this product love it! I'm not trying to put people down, I'm just trying to remind everyone reviews only work if they are fair and honest! If you have issues, fine tell us. Just make sure it's the products fault and not your own stupidity. Amend your review that are unfair to the company. Lets do our best to keep this review forum helpful and not allow it to become a useless sounding board like most of the others have been reduced too. Update: 3 years and it is still like new! This is worth a 5 star rating what was I thinking giving it 4 stars? I changed it to 5! update nearly 5 years old! This things awesome! update 7 years and still perfect. A great item. Update. 10 years yes still perfect.

Clear, dishwasher safe and pretty sturdy/made well.

This cover plate works well. It does require hand washing between uses, but a quick swish in the dish water is usually enough to clean it. Fits beautifully on a normal dinner plate.

Good for the price and most foods. Could be a bit higher so it doesn’t fit on some foods.

This is well made, and its top handle is easy to grab, even for my husband's big fingers. It fits over a standard 10in dinner plate exactly. An old one I had been gifted was maybe an inch wider around, and I prefer that slight difference. That being said, I still like this one, and wouldn't hesitate to purchase another as a gift or for myself.

Great buy for the price. I bought one for my house and one for work room microwave.

The lid is recessed and will get dipped in your bowl of chili, mashed potatoes, pot pie, etc. Works great otherwise.

This cover is way better than the cheap plastic cover you can get at a store. It is easier to keep clean and it is taller, where it doesn’t touch the food on the plate/bowl.

I’d only recommend this for doing spirals on your tie dye shirts, I used in the microwave also and the plastic started cracking pretty quickly

Me gusto mucho el producto, es de alta calidad y resistencia, hecho en Estados Unidos. Excelente precio en Amazon México. Es fácil de lavar y protege muy bien el microondas, ya que los alimentos quedan totalmente cubiertos (en platos normales llanos y ensaladeros) el producto sólo tiene una abertura en forma circular en la parte de arriba para que escape el vapor, lo que lo hace más conveniente que otros modelos, porque así se evitan las salpicaduras a la perfección ya que no tiene aberturas adicionales. Si se forman gotas de agua en el interior, por el vapor acumulado, sin embargo no he notado cambios en mis alimentos ni nada por el estilo, lo prefiero así ya que si estuviera más abierto sin duda tendría que limpiar el microondas diario. Si lo recomiendo! Excelente compra

Me encanta que puedo ver con claridad lo que se está calentando, incluso para proteger ya afuera del micro es súper funcional. Ya tengo 2 meses con usándolo, no ha cambiado color o tornado lechoso, lo recomiendo mucho
