Antarctic Star Wine Cooler Cabinet Beverage Refrigerator 2.4 Cu. ft

The product works very nicely, some people are complaining a little too much about the fridge at this price point. It's very spacious and cools down pretty low, to be honest . People are complaining about the buttons/touchscreen not working on the fridge ( and I'll admit the manual isn't very 'user friendly' ) but there is a work-around for this. It seems to have a set timer to lock the fridges settings so, all you have to do is hold the UNLOCK BUTTON and LIGHT BUTTON at the same time ((( TIPP: I like to use both my thumbs and press down on it with some good pressure you can also use a flat part of your fingers but you need fat fingers for this so stick with your 2 thumbs you'll see the adjustment and get used to it ))) and it unlocks the settings so you can adjust it again :) seems to have a poor touch-sensitive response but no big deal even for the price! The fridge does make a considerable amount of noise when cooling up and it does take a while but after a bit of time it quiets down completely! I would recommend this product, I got a completely black unit rather then silver but I love it more! Great customer support!!

It is appealing to the eyes, has a blue light to offer some ambiance Keeps your drinks cold, we don't use it for wine, but for soda/juice/water it still works great. Coldest temp is 40F which is plenty cold for drinks usually It's not very loud. We have ours in the living room area, if we are watching TV we cannot hear it run at all. My biggest complaint would be the quality of the shelves. One is glass, 2 are wire. The 2 wire shelves have a tendancy to sag under weight. I'm talking four 30oz bottles of water was too much I guess. So we are careful about what we put on those 2 shelves. Also, keep in mind, With a fridge this small when you open the door it lets almost ALL of the cold air out which requires it to work harder to get back to temp. If you are quick about it, it isn't too bad. But I have seen it go from 40F to 56F in less than 30 seconds while loading some drinks into it. So it is definitely more useful if you do not need to access it repeatedly all day long. But usually it is back to 40F in 15-20 minutes or so, it just uses more electricity that way.

I got the 1.3cu ft version. Some reviews said theirs didn't have the digital display, only a knob. Mine came as pictured with the digital temp display. It only goes down to 40deg though. I usually keep my kitchen fridge at 37. Drinks are cold enough for me. I kept it in the kitchen for a few days and it does make a soft noise akin to Darth Vader breathing. Some describe it as a wooshing sound. The sound is soft, but after a few days I was annoyed by this because I was able to notice it from my living room. So I moved it to its permanent home in the garage where I won't mind the sound so much. My attached garage is uninsulated, so it gets below 50deg. I think the instructions said it's not meant for uninsulated spaces and should be placed where temps don't go below either 50 or 55 deg. Not sure what happens if you do anyway. Mine's staying in the garage. I reversed the door without issue. Instructions didn't show how to reverse door. Was afraid I would break the plastic cover for the hinge. Carefully work the smaller front up/off first, then slide cover toward rear to completely remove. I'm happy with it and would buy it again for my garage. The sound can be intrusive, like when watching TV/movie and you hear Darth Vader trying to breathe quietly in the kitchen.. I might have taken a chance on buying it for my kitchen thinking others were just exaggerating how loud it is. But I can say that having it in the kitchen and it just being noticeable from the other room during a quiet moment on the TV was annoying. I have an open great room though, so no walls to separate the spaces. I hope this helps someone. Updated 7/2024 - The refrigerator has been in my uninsulated garage since I bought it. We are mid-summer and I can say this is not meant for an uninsulated/unconditioned garage. The refrigerator is routinely at 50deg when I arrive home in the afternoon. It is not keeping drinks cold enough. If you plan to put this in an uninsulated/unconditioned space, buy a different model as this one won't work. Prolly will garage sale this one and buy a better one without a glass door on the front.

### 2ND UPDATE ### DO NOT BUY!!! This unit had gotten louder, it bangs more frequently, it’s less than 6 mos old and it needs to be replaced. Vendor/manufacturer NEVER got back in touch after I responded. I know the price can be temping, but it’s NOT WORTH IT. !!! UPDATE. !!! Unfortunately, things have gone downhill since my OP. The Vendor/Company reached out to offer me a refund (vs sending me a new unit) and when I responded, they never got back to me. It’s been 3 weeks since then, with still no resolution. Worse part it that the unit has gotten louder, and continues to knock more consistently. Perhaps it’s better to purchase directly from the manufacturer, but given the state of corporations in this country as of late, I cannot recommend purchasing from the Manufacturer, the Vendor or through Amazon. ———— ———— ———— ———— ———— When it first arrived, I made sure to leave it upright for 24 hrs, then got to work unpacking and setting it up. It was well packaged while not being excessively so. Got it into place and plugged it in and set to my preferred temperature and let it run for 24 hrs. It was quiet, which is nice because it’s in my bedroom. When the compressor kicks on, it makes a soft whirling and swishing noise, very easily ignored. Unfortunately after only 1 month, whenever the compressor kicks OFF, it now makes a knocking noise. Sometimes it’s softer, but it has woken me up a few times. I’ll be contacting the seller/manufacturer to try and resolve the issue and will report back.

Seller had great communication. Responded to my inquiry within 24 hours. Tracking number provided for FedEx. Package arrived undamaged. Very straight forward assembly. Tape was used to secure the shelfs inside and foam was used to protect the glass inside and out. It had quite a strong plastic smell when I opened the door. I was able to fix that by simply cleaning it with Windex, which you should be doing anyways. 6 hours after plugging it in, its chilling. I threw 5 bottles of water on top shelf, laying down, and 11 cans of soda on the 2nd shelf with room for probably 4 more, and room for 12 more soda cans on the bottom. Seems better suited for cans, but to each their own. Drinks are not super cold after a few hours, but as other reviews have stated it may take a full 24 hours to reach desired temp. (I will update if I find the temperature to be insufficient) The blue light inside is bright enough to see your drinks at night, but it wont light your room up. The design is sleek and modern. I purchased this for its design. Similar sized fridges without the same look are half of the price. Really hoping this lasts because I like the way it looks so far. All in all I'm happy with my purchase.

I have had this fridge for a little over a year now and use it in a seasonal home so not used year round. First the positive, it holds a lot of cans and water bottles which is why I purchased it. Second, I have the temp set to 36 and it cools to that temp (fridge is inside). Now for the negative. The fridge does make gurgling sounds which I don't think is a major issue; however, about every 30 minutes the fridge makes a very loud popping sound. For a while I thought it was someone banging on my house. I do not have the fridge touching any walls so that is not the issue. I am not sure if this happens to all the fridges but it is concerning.

It works grest but is VERY VERY noisy. When cooling it gurgles and sometimes makes a loud popping sound. The gurgle is VERY loud.
