GARMIN 010-10823-03 Adjustable Suction Cup

This is the first replacement that I have bought. It comes in a Garmin package and is the same number as on the Garmin site. Also cheaper. My problem is that they break at the pivot point. I have procured three from other people with the same unit. They don't use window mounts. Mine stays on the window all the time and I guess the sun makes it brittle. Bottom line is that it is original and works great. I now release the suction tab and give it a chance to release by itself.

I bought this in March of 2010 and am still using it today (December of 2013) in the varied climate of Wisconsin. I use it as a replacement for my garmin GPS unit (which is very old). My car has been parked inside for about half the time and outside for about half the time. the rubber seal has stayed strong through the entire time. once and awhile when the sun beats down hard it will fall off, but that's due to the intense heat and I don't see that as a design fault.

I used to travel with two of these ALL the time. Standard size ball fits my Motorola cell phone mount too . . . so now first thing I do when hopping into my rent car is mount both cell & GPS up next to the rear view. HIGHLY recommended for travel. EXCEPT SEE BELOW!!! EDIT ONE: Lowered my rating to 3 stars . . . still the best thing out there I've found (fits both my Motorola Bionic mount & my Garmin mount) . . . BUT . . . I had 4 and two of them are busted now. The first my own fault for twisting too hard . . . but the next one the cup has started to separate from the body of the mount . . . will be useless by next trip & I don't think it will be trivial to repair. I'll probably buy another couple & carry a spare . . . still better than the full-sized-non-collapsible mount for travel! EDIT TWO: Lowered my rating to 1 star . . . third one busted. The cup on the 3rd one separated from the body of the mount again . . . too unreliable for travel use. I'm ditching this & gonna try another unit. This is what I'm going to try next: GN014: Mini Travel Windshield Suction Cup Mount for Garmin Nuvi and Streetpilot GPS a LOT bulkier . . . but . . . if it holds up . . . well . . . that's better than a broken mount every other week!

I have one of these in each of my 3 cars, I took them apart and set them up for my needs. The plastic does break after a couple years of heat and abuse, but what can you expect for a cheap price. I take out the suction cup, as well as the hinge pin (reinstall arm upside-down), and bolt the thing to my dashboard. It actually looks OEM when placed properly, and I never have to worry about it moving.

If you stick it on the wind shield, then it has firm hold of the GPS (Garmin Nuvi 105), however the mount disk that comes along with (didn't expect) doesn't stick on the dashboard. You will need other glue. The product is so far satisfactory and definitely recommended over exorbitant prices of suction cups from Walmart or Bestbuy at 29$ or more. This product doesn't have the GPS holder, which you'd have to extract from your old mounting device. It has suction cup with a ball and a mounting disk.

I have an older nuvi that I bought 6 years ago. After many uses, I accidently dropped the garmin and the suction cup broke at the hinge. When I received this new part, it was identical to the original piece. suction cup works everytime, the ball fits into the receptacle and swivels. Great replacement part, and much cheaper than buying a new nuvi!!!!!

Seems to be the same device that came with my Garmin. One is permanently mounted in my truck and this one is for our car which has built in navigation. Chrysler (Navtec) wanted $150 for a single upgrade...this cost less and is almost the same size with LIFETIME upgrades..I prefer the GPS unit to having my phone tied up for 8 hours during a trip.

From first use, it didn't have enough friction to hold the GPS up. My workaround was a chunk of foam under the unit. Finally took it down today and took a closer look. One of the plastic loops the shaft goes through is broken - piece missing - which cuts it's ability to hold in place in half. Not fixable. I bought it a little over a month ago, so Amazon won't let me return it. Since it doesn't work at all, I have to rate it as cheap junk - 1 star. I blew $10 on it - and I have find some other way to mount the GPS.

Excellent product and definitely value for money. Cannot fault the quality of the product or the delivery service. Would recommend. Cannot tell the difference between this and the suction cup provided with my Garmin. Much cheaper than the branded products and as far as I can see it is identical in size, shape, and design. Works for me.

I ordered a adjustable suction cup for garmin nuvi gps device for my car. Based on seller rating and details provided. After only three hours of usage after fixing it in place, the entire assembly came down as the suction cup material had sheard off from its body. I spent 1600/- rs for it and waited almost 10-12 days for it to arrive as i was being shipped from US of A. Really disheartened by this experience.

Ich nutze diese Halterung für mein Garmin nüvi 140 LMT. Im Gegensatz zur mitgelieferten Halterung (nur Kugelgelenk) ist diese sehr flexibel auf dem Amaturenbrett per Adapterplatte zu besfestigen wegen der Schwenkmöglichkeit. Der Navi läßt sich dadurch tiefer einstellen und kommt auch noch etwas mehr nach vorne. Die Windschutzscheibe bleibt völlig frei. Also keinerlei Sichtbehinderung durch das Navigationsgerät. Ich bin absoluter Fan der Befestigung vom Navigationsgerät auf dem Amaturenbrett. Diese Halterung wäre auch für unförmige Amaturenbretter geeignet, wo man meint, es würde kein Navigationsgerät drauf passen. An der Schreibe käme eine Befestigung für mich nie in Frage. Eine Adapterplatte wurde nicht mitgeliefert.
