what kind of containers can I use to heat?

I used a soft black round 7 inch diameter container. It did not heat the food much after 45 Minutes. Some portion of the container was slightly warm and at other portions of the exterior of the container it was cold to touch. Actually I took the container out of the freezer, but it has chicken curry not even enough for one portion, just one-eight of the capacity of the container. In my opinion you should start warming your refrigerated food atleast 3 hours before eating. If your food is at room temperature you should start warming your food atleast 2 hours before eating. In my opinion you can use any type of flat bottom container, because the heating is slow and not intensive, no boiling.

Can i use this on a 24v system?

i do not recommend this product it takes longer to heat up than your lunch time and runs your battery down.

Can you put frozen plastic meals inside to heat?

You can thaw frozen meat but I would not recommend
