My head is a little wobbly is that's normal??

You may want to see your doctor about that.... Yes the head on the flashlight is wobbly. It's not a great quality light

At full focus there is a distinct pattern. Is there a specific use for this?

I don't know of an existing use for the pattern but I believe it is of the LED bulb.

how many lumens is this light

Lumen measurement has been abused for years as a way of rating flashlights. It's safe to say that this particular flahlight when used with a 18500 lithium battery is sufficiently bright and fairly long lasting. I did buy a similar flashlight on Amazon that uses a 26650 lithium battery that is brighter and a little heavier/larger. The Letmy flashlight is very similar to the ones being advertised on TV that sell for twice as much.
