Will it fit a 2001 Schwinn Homegrown?

Not sure about your frame but this adapter worked for mine because my bike had a flat think rear axle hook part, if yours is a round type, then this adapter won't work. It is well made but the design won't fit every type of bike, I had to cut part of it to have it fit just right. In my case, I decided to have it welded into the frame rather than put additional holes into the frame. the final product was seamless after I painted it.

Does this fit for front disk brakes? I have a trek circa 2009. The fork has a single threaded hole in each side. Not sure what type of mount it needs.

The part is specifically made for rear brake. Fits the mold of the frame.

Will this work with a "sugar 293" tail on my gary fisher (circa approx 2001)?

Oddity. Trek site says 2001 and newer. Amazon says 2002 and newer. Best bet: Search 'trek international disc brake mount' and look at the pics of the adapter mounted to bikes, you should be able to see if your frame can use it. Or take it to a Trek dealer and they could tell you.

Does it fit for my gary fisher joshua z0 98-99?

If the tail of your frame has three holes with a bump up on the middle whole, it should. It fit on my 06 Advance.
