Excellent Strings for my Electric Guitar.
First time using this brand. I love these strings and will purchase them again the next time I need new strings. They sound great and are rust resistant so they will last longer.

Best ever for me
Maybe it’s because I went from 10 to 9 but these strings play and sound great on my Strat. Better than any ive used before. Not sure how well they will hold up but for now theyre awesome and a bigger upgrade than I thought theyd be. Keep in mind when you switch to lighter strings you aren't going to get the same single string power because it's a little less mass, less sustain. But the tradeoff for me is worth it, an overall better sound and playability.

Best Strings
My favorite strings, I use them on all of my guitars. They feel smooth, tone is great and they last.

Great for sweaty-handed players like me!
I tried these not knowing what to expect, and have been very pleasantly surprised. I tend to have sweaty hands, and my guitar strings get a lot of crud on them and then eventually rust. Although I have learned now to wipe them down each time I play, they still deteriorate pretty quickly, and it's a pain. When I wipe them down with a cloth, they leave black streaks of crud on the cloth. The Elixirs are not as bright as other strings when you first put them on -- that is true. However, other strings lose their brightness after just a few hours of playing, so I don't see this as a major disadvantage. The advantage is that these strings get very little crud on them. When I wipe them down, there's nothing on the cloth! I've even stopped wiping my strings down as carefully. So for a player like me, these are a godsend. I don't detect any loss of tone. They are a bit slippery, and some people have reported having trouble because of this, but it's fine for me. Definitely they're worth a try. Although they're twice as expensive as regular strings, they'll last longer, so they're worth checking out! Ernie Ball makes titanium coated strings that I'm interested in trying out, and there are some other brands, too.

These strings sound great for many different tone preferences and they laaaaaast!!!
I started using the NANOWEB strings consistently on my Les Paul Standard when Elixir added them to their line a few years after the POLYWEB's were introduced. I never had one snap on me, they hold their tune, and they respond well to different styles of playing. When I decided to start playing acoustic guitar the Les Paul sat in a closet for a few years with very intermittent use, but when I got it out to play the sound was spot on. I have tried probably 6-8 different brands/types of strings and the Elixirs are it for me. They cost you less in the long run!

New favorite string set!
I've pretty much always used 009-042 string sets and I have the most experience with Fender Superbullets on my Strat. Needing to restring a non-Strat and bring some 010-046 strings down to my prefer gauge I bought these for a PRS I had bought. Wow, these so dramatically improved the playability of the PRS it was amazing. Also, these strings started maintaining tune within 30 minutes of play time. Excellent! They are a bright sounding string which is fine by me and are still starring on the PRS. I can't wait to try a set on my Strat to see how well they do. Strings are a very personal choice among guitar players but I'd put these up against any out there that I've tried over the last 50 years of playing guitar.

this is THE BEST set of electric guitar string
I first used Elixir nanoweb super light almost a decade ago and I have never looked back. These strings last pretty much forever if all you are doing is playing normally, honestly I'm surprised Elixir makes money off of these when they last so long. I've never had these strings break on me while playing. Only time I would get a new set of strings would be when I have to take them off for changing hardware on my guitar or something. I've had a guitar with these strings on and stored it away for 4 years and I came back and the strings were in perfect condition. There are some incompetent reviewers saying these strings are bad because the string broke after they took it on and off multiple times. This is true for ANY METAL. If you bend metal over and over again, it will break. If these strings break, it's your own fault. I've never had this string break on me for no reason. These are THE best string in the world and everyone should use these.

Worth the extra few bucks
I remember getting to try these out before they came on the market. At the time they were called 'Gore-Tex' or something like that. I wrote them back saying the coating was too thick. (I'm sure I wasn't the only one who said that). Well now it's ten years later and they have a very successful product on their hands. Make sure you get the NANOWEB version, unless you're a jazz player. The 'polyweb' coating is just too thick for my tastes. It really mellows the tone of the strings a lot. The coating on the nanowebs is just right. I used to play D'Addarios. After you play on these for an hour or two, they sound like a 2 day old set of D'Addarios. This is perfect, especially because they sound like that for WEEKS! I gig quite a bit, and these will go for about a month before the tone goes dead enough to be objectionable. I usually change them out before then, just to prevent string breakage. With that said, these strings are not any more prone to breakage than other brands. I also like the fact that the newer version (been out for a year or two now) has anti-rust coating on the E, B, and G strings as well. This makes a big difference to someone like me, who has sweaty hands. The anti-rust really does work. Downsides? Well, price is one. The other would be the fact that if you're addicted the zing factor you get with brand new strings, you may be dissapointed. Out of the box, these are deader sounding than a new set of GHS, Ernie Balls, D'Addarios, etc. But if you compare them a week later, the Elixirs will still be sounding as good as the day you put them on.

Originally I used to get NYXL D'Addario strings but switched to these becuase I didn't like how my strings kept rusting after only 2 weeks of playing. I've been using these strings exclusively for about a year now and I've never seen them rust yet (I switch them out about every 2 months). Very easy to play, good lasting sound and very durable too. I've only had one time that a string broke on me (high e string which I was bending really hard). Definitely worth giving these a go.

Elixir strings are amazing, they sound and feel good for ages. I go between either elixir or d'addario and both are really good and i would highly recommend both brands. 10 stars though for elixirs I love these strings!
