It is smaller than you think
I wasn't expecting a big beautiful plant like they show in the photos, but I was surprised at how small and delicate this plant actually was. It's a very small cutting, and not what I'd consider a full plant or shrub yet. It has a very long way to go before I can even plant this outdoors, and I was hoping for a somewhat larger, fuller shrub to plant out before fall. Kind of frustrating, because now I need to pot it, and keep it somewhere safe all winter in the hope it continues growing enough to plant out in it's final location next spring. Inaba Shidare are expensive, but they really ought to show the ACTUAL SIZE of the plant they're shipping. I would have paid more for a larger plant had I seen a picture of the actual size. Update: It came packaged well enough to hold water, but the plant is nonetheless still very dry in the leaves despite having plenty of water and misting since I received it. I've had to keep it indoors as it was too small and dry to even pot and put out on the patio. Still trying to nurse it along, but I think maybe it was shocked during shipping in 90-degree plus heat.

Came really small , it's a graft and they did a bad job , the glue for the graft came off so it's opened and there's no guarantee it will survive
