Today I had to cancel a Miele Descaling Tab subscription, and have had problems with the cleaning tabs as well. I have called Miele and they suggested I do so. The tabs although in Miele packaging foam like crazy, I am afraid to use them in the espresso machine. Although in Miele packaging, could they be fake. I have spent quite a bit of money and find the last two times a problem so did not use, have another 14 tabs, I am afraid to use. Please contact vendor

Does the job. Arrived the same day… which is important because machine cannot be used once the descaling maintenance notification comes on.

Gosh I ordered these years ago. I don't even recall. But if I did they worked.

We have a Miele in-wall coffee system. The thing practically takes care of itself...but every few hundred cups, the system will not so subtly remind you that one thing it CANNOT do for itself is descale - it needs your help. And to do this, you need these descaling tablets. EASY to do. Just follow the instructions on the Miela screen as it walks you through the process. A little trick, though, that I use to make the initial step go faster....when you're instructed to fill the water tank to the descale line, and drop in the tablets - and then wait for them to desolve.....don't. Fill the tank about 1/2 of the required amount - with HOT water. Then drop in the tablets and stir with a flat knife. This cuts around 50% off the normal desolve time. Fill the tank to the line with colder water, and continue the process. The end result is a descaled system. Definitely worth it....having manually cleaned pipes before that were very scaly, I appreciate this solution.

When you own a Miele coffee machine, you purchase these tablets to keep the machine running and making great coffee. When you make a large investment in your coffee machine you need to take good care of it. These are a good value because they keep your machine running properly.

I have well-water, so descaling is a big deal. My Miele cappuccino maker seems especially worried about scale buildup, so I need to use these tablets on a regular basis. === The Good Stuff === * They look just like the ones that shipped with the machine, so if anything ever goes wrong, at least I can say I used the proper tablets. * It is hard to tell how effective they are, so I tried one tablet out on a coffee pot that had quite a bit of limescale built up on it. The tablets dissolved the scale, although it took a few minutes. === The Not-So-Good Stuff === * I am always a little leery about using unlabeled chemicals in my household. I suspect these are mostly sulfamic acid (H3NSO3), a relatively safe chemical-commonly found in other descaling chemicals such as Limeaway. I can appreciate Miele considering the formulation as proprietary, but still hate anonymous chemicals. * They are not exactly cheap, and probably have a nice 1000% profit margin. Still, considering the cost of the machine, they are a cheap investment in keeping it functioning. So I shut up and pay. === Summary === My coffee machine forces me to run the descale routine on a periodic basis, so I might as well use the recommended cleaning agents. I hate the price, but that is just the way life is sometimes. Messing around with a home concoction, while doable, just doesn't seem worth the risk.

I use this in my Miele coffee unit built in the wall… It is what was advised and I’ve owned the unit 6 years and it’s excellent!!
