A terrific smart lock and great value - highly recommended!
After reading the instructions and taking a look at the video, I was able to install the ULTRALOQ quickly, easily and without any problem at all. Its helpful to note that I was replacing a standard lock that was itself well-installed and worked smoothly and that the door lines up well with the jamb. I highly recommend this smart lock. It has a terrific list of features including fingerprint recognition, geo-fencing unlock/lock, door closure sensing. It can be connected to wireless networks or operate independently,

Ultraloq smart lock is a “SHORE” thing!
It’s a “shore” thing! The sea salt, sun nor sunscreened fingertips stop this smart lock from working. I purchased my first Ultraloq Pro lock in 2021. It was purchased for the front door of my beach home with the intent on making it easier for service people to come and go. That it did. However I have to admit I did have some troubles with it. About a month after I purchased the lock it stopped unlocking and/or would get jammed. . I knew it was installed correctly as I had hired a locksmith to professionally install it (not necessary though). Even after troubleshooting using the app support and the manual The lock would not work. I called customer service and they willingly worked with me and concluded that I needed a replacement part (which they mailed out immediately). Since then, that lock has worked like a charm and I’ve purchased two others, one for my back door and one for my storage shed. My family LOVES our Ultraloq smart locks and so do I! Of course I love them for the usual reasons such as, fingerprint recognition, not having to dig out keys, having the peace of mind that it locks up if I or someone else forgets to lock up because we may have our hands full etc.,being able to make temporary users for when no is at home but service people still need to get in (you can also give the temp users a set schedule when their codes work and how many times they can use their codes with set times and dates). But, most of all, I LOVE these locks for their durability at the beach. Anyone who owns a home on our near the beach knows that the salt air and high sun rays destroys everything. It either rusts it or dries it out. Even stainless steel, marine quality products have been destroyed by the beach elements. These locks, however have still held up. My front door lock is 4 years old and still going strong. No signs if corrosion, rust, or weakening of the interior or exterior components of the lock! It even works with sunscreened fingertips! Yahoo! Even the Ultraloq on my storage shed, which is out in the direct sunlight and elements is working great! On my storage shed it gives me a piece of mind that the bikes, beach chairs and water toys are locked up and safe! If you want to hit the beach and enjoy the sun, sand and surf with no worries, this is the smart lock for you! The perfect beach house addition! I’ll keep you updated as I will be purchasing these locks for my permanent residence soon.

Nice Smart Lock, a lot of features, bio entry works well, could use 1 or 2 more physical keys.
I like this unit but the door sensor would be better if it was a metal piece that went into where bolt goes, with molding its not possible to install without cutting a spot. That said I have cameras to see if door is actually open, auto lock works great, finger print reads works well enough, added several family members and tested, would prefer atleast 3-4 physical keys as backup if lock runs out of power. The 8 AA's is way better, tried another brand and 4 didn't cut it. Install is straightforward and intuitive, most folks should be able to install in under 15min with minimal difficulty. The tutorial QR code was a dead link but easy enough to find instructions. All in All a solid 4 stars, docked 1 star for battery install springs are a little wonky, could be better and more secure but its functional enough once you get them all in. Would also be nice to have some different styles on the lock, not a huge fan of the way it looks on front side but its got enough ways to open and works well.

Works Well For Us... No complaints
After quite a bit of research I purchased the ULTRALOQ Bolt Fingerprint Deadbolt on Amazon. It showed up the next day. Hardware installation was a breeze. Then I downloaded the Xthings Home app, created an account, followed the setup steps in the app, and was able to get it connected to WiFi and complete the setup. But I was never able to pair the Bolt Fingerprint Deadbolt with Bluetooth on my Samsung S23 Android cell phone. Sent support question to ULTRALOQ and they said setup will use the stronger of the two (Bluetooth or WiFi). In my case WiFi had an excellent signal so the setup used WiFi, not Bluetooth. Everything works just fine. It takes a bit of an effort to find things in the Xthings application. I probably spent 30 minutes exploring all the different options and settings. But eventually I was able to add my wife as a user and set up our passcodes and fingerprints. Fingerprint entry works well. Passcodes also work well. When setting up a fingerprint make sure your finger is flat on the fingerprint reader. If you tilt your finger, you will likely have problems using the fingerprint reader. This is what happened to my wife when she set up her thumbprint. But after correcting how she set up her thumbprint, the fingerprint reader has had no problems reading her thumbprint. A cool feature….. My wife downloaded the Xthings Home app on her phone and used my login credentials. Now she has full access to the Xthings Home application just like on my phone. I was worried this would cause a conflict, but we have no issues so far. We are happy with our ULTRALOQ Bolt Fingerprint deadbolt and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good digital deadbolt. We have had no issues, and everything seems to be working just fine.

Over a year of using
In the beginning, the installation and setup of the device was easy. The only issue I seemed to run into initially around that time of June/July of 2023 was the Wi-Fi adapter or "bridge." It would not connect even if you had it right beside the device less than 6 inches away and it was on the right type of Wi-Fi as well. However, sometimes it would just show that it was not connected but at times it really was. As days turned into weeks that issue never came up even after having to move the bridge or power outage happened, etc. They'd always connect back up to each other without fail. The family loves it and so do I. I enjoy having the peace of mind that it locks up if I or someone else forgets to lock up because we may have our hands full etc. I recently days ago finally had my first and true issue where for some reason the device would not lock up all the way and give a jam notice. Even if you didn't have the door shut, it would jam up on its own when attempting to lock up. I called customer service and they already had my information and sent me a test to give them the results via email response and currently they have a part replacement on the way under warranty. They're super cool and I am missing not having to use keys and am forgetting to lock the door while it's still down. I've had this over a year and it's a great investment and spend in my opinion based on experience and family's experience. I also love being able to make temporary users for when we're not home but need to let a repair person in and you can also give the temp users a set schedule when their codes work and how many times they can use their codes with set times and dates etc. I also strongly recommend to explain to new users that they need to wait for the green light to come on when inputting their entry codes because that indicates the deadbolt is fully unlocked. It does not retract in milliseconds, it takes about 1-2 seconds. You can also make spare copies of the keys at an Ace Hardware store under the Hillman brand, those work perfectly like the ones that came with the device. Great product and am not sure why the alert of Frequently Returned Item is on this.

Not worth the money!!
Horrible!!! Installed 3 of these on my new home and I constantly need to remove them and reset them. They work when you manually lock and unlock.tjem, but randomly they will stop recognizing your fingerprint, code and the app. Im stuck with one more that was supposed to be installed on a door in my garage, but I guess I'm going to have to eat the cost since my return window closed Customer service is terrible too. Called and they sent me links to troubleshoot instead of walking me through it, like they didn't have time for me. One link made me update the firmware...I get that. So I figured I'd update all three. The update fixed the problem I had with the one, but caused the other two to stop working. Make sure you keep the key handy so you can actually get in the house. Also, bought 4 and each one has a different key, never offered for all of them to be keyed the same!

Bought Two — Fast, Reliable, and Easy Install
I originally purchased one of these smart locks to test and ended up buying a second almost immediately. Both units have been rock-solid. Installation took about 10 minutes per door with just a screwdriver. The fingerprint reader is fast and accurate, Wi-Fi connectivity has been stable, and the app makes it easy to manage codes and monitor access. I also appreciate that it supports multiple unlock methods (fingerprint, PIN, app, and key), which adds flexibility. Build quality feels solid and professional plus its design is very sleek, and auto-lock has worked consistently. Bottom line: After running two of these, I would absolutely buy again. Great value smart lock that just works.

Reliable and works on thick door!
We’ve been using the Ultraloq Fingerprint Bolt (HomeKit version) for about a month now in our home with two little girls under 3 years old and my wife, and it’s been a game-changer for our daily routine. Installation was straightforward—I managed it in under an hour with basic tools, and the app guided me through the HomeKit setup seamlessly. The fingerprint scanner is incredibly reliable; it recognizes my print, my wife’s, and even a couple of trusted family members’ in seconds, which means no more fumbling for keys when I’m carrying a toddler or groceries. The build quality feels solid, with a sturdy deadbolt that gives that reassuring click when it locks. We love the auto-lock feature after 30 seconds—perfect for forgetful moments when chasing after our energetic girls. Integration with HomeKit is spot-on; we can lock/unlock via Siri from our iPhones or Apple Watch, and it ties into our home automation scenes (like locking up when we say “goodnight” to the lights). The battery life has been impressive so far, and the low-battery alerts via the app keep us proactive. One minor hiccup: the fingerprint setup can be a bit finicky if your hands are wet or dirty, but that’s rare for us. Overall, it’s enhanced our home security without complicating life—our girls can’t reach the keypad yet, but when they do, we’ll appreciate the child-proof aspects. That said, it would be fantastic if Ultraloq added Apple HomeKey compatibility in a future update or model. Being able to tap our iPhones or Watches directly on the lock (like with hotel keys) would make it even more effortless, especially on hectic mornings. Highly recommend for families—4.5 stars!

Run away from this brand
Not recommended, almost impossible to create an account to proprietary app (app didn’t send OTP to validate account). Once you manage to create account (only by apple subscription) you can find the bolt but during authentication app will kick you out and you’ll not be able to add your bolt in app in order to use all functions. Requested technical support to producer followed up with instructions but still not be able to add it to app. Once I requested to replace the unit or refund they disappeared and never reply to me again. Very bad experience, very bad app, mediocre bolt. Not recommended at all.

Very functional lock
We replaced an existing simple code lock in order to allow remote code programming for our vacation rental. Replacement was simple other then this new lock has a side plate and our old one did not. So we had to chisel then in. No biggie. The lock itself is well made, quiet and set up with the wifi bridge was simple. The app us easy to use and functions are impressive. Remote lock/unlock/code programing/timed entry/limited number of entries/different types of users/optional auto lock/optional auto open etc etc . App is very intuitive. It is exactly what I wanted. Two small design complaints are that 1. The numbers are not easily visible in the dark unless you light them up by pushing the lock button first (or the first number you can't see:)). Not sure why it doesn't have dark on white numbering. 2. The lock button should be on the top and not "hidden" below the key hole assembly. The lock button looks more like a logo. None of these are a big deal if it is your own house but with vacation rentals, some guests are just not that great at figuring things out....:)...so a more intuitive design would go a long way. More of a suggestion then a complaint. Great product!

Great customer support
I have been using this product for about 6 months. This particular model (not the Pro) does not have a fingerprint reader. PROS: - easy to install, fairly thorough instructions and includes a paper template. I had absolutely no problems with the install, but I'm fairly handy. - as long as I have an internet connection, I can tell if I forgot to lock the door, and can lock it remotely. - if a person is coming and I'm not home, I can unlock the door via the app. Perfect to let a friend, a trusted contractor, or the kids in while I'm out, without needing to give them a physical key which can be copied or lost - looks nice. My original door hardware was had a brushed nickel finish so this fits right in - very compact. The original designers put all the numbers and everything really close together, so a lot of the other automatic door options didn't fit - the auto lock is super handy CONS: - takes a long time to connect via app to the device, so I'm waiting quite a while when I open the app. More of a nuisance than a problem - the auto lock feature can activate at inconvenient times (like when you need to hold the door open for a long time, or just as you are closing the door) which means that the bolt can smash against the door jamb accidentally. But this is a problem with most locks that have an auto-lock feature - the magic shake function doesn't really work well for me because it can't tell which shake is intentional so when I'm inside, the lock keeps unlocking unintentionally. I ended up turning off this feature. - no wifi on the lock itself, it needs the bridge as an adaptor, and the bridge must be pretty close. - if the door runs out of batteries and you didn't have an offsite backup key, then you would be hooped! I had a problem with the device not turning on, even with fresh batteries. So I made use of the technical support, and they got back to me extremely quickly, suggested some things, like re-setting the lock by removing the batteries and keeping the lock at no-power status for 5 minutes. That seems to have done the trick. So kudos to the responsive tech support.
