I like to collect knives for both looks and usefulness. It's great when it's both together. They don't have to be expensive to make me happy, and there are some fairly decent working knives on the cheap. At only $13 this one is totally worth it, especially if you like dragons and fantasy motif. The best part about this knife is that the design is on BOTH sides. I have quite a few like this with raised design on stainless steel scales, and many of them only have the design on one side. Considering I don't like pocket clips and remove them immediately, it's rather disappointing when there's no design on the clip side. But this knife looks awesome! The other cool thing is the dragon scales design on the blade itself. Very ornate and eye catching, I always get compliments when I take it out to cut string or something. It's not exactly a utility design but that's what I like about it. Looks bad@$$! The curve of the handle feels really good in hand. And you can whip it out fast for self defense. People say the blade is difficult to flip open, but I don't have a problem with it. I can easily open and close it with one hand, and no you don't need to flick it. It shoots open and locks with the perfect amount of tension. The flip point is a little low but honestly that's better than a thumb peg screwed into the side of the blade. The only thing I don't like about these kinds of knives is that they use star nuts instead of peened-over pins, which wouldn't be a problem but I have had them loosen and unscrew themselves over time, sometimes losing the screws, especially if you use the knife a lot and carry it in your pocket. I have since bought a set of star and hex nut screwdrivers just so I can firstly remove the pocket clip, unscrew all the pins in the handle, put a drop of superglue or thread seal on and screw them back in. The hex nut can be used to loosen or tighten the tension on the blade (don't put superglue on that one) but I would not mess with that unless it loosens too much from use. Knife comes pretty sharp, but you can certainly sharpen it more to your own liking. I use a 1000/6000 whet stone. The most action this knife sees is opening packages and cutting up the recycling so for me it doesn't need to be razor sharp, and it keeps an edge well.

Writing this review in 2025. This knife has lasted me many years and actually kept its edge for me. I can say I may not use this one for the heavier tasks i ask of my other knives but this one kept its luster very well after all these years.

Just received this item today. (Thank you for the lightning-speed delivery, Amazon!) This knife seems to be well made and is definitely worth the price. The colors and design of it are very unique, pretty and fun to stare at, especially in the sunlight :) It has some good weight to it. The metal is actually carved, not just printed. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that like other buyers, I'm finding it difficult to open. You have to press very hard on the "wing" to do so. It makes the task slow and awkward. Forget trying to flip it out quickly for use in an emergency. I'm going to try what another reviewer suggested: Remove the hinge screw, use Locktite when putting it back in and then WD40 to make operation smoother. Folding the blade back up is much faster and easier than opening it. This is done by pushing sideways to the left on the lock mechanism at the bottom of the blade. All in all, not a regretted purchase! :-)

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package. I love items of this nature, but frequently the craftsmanship is adequate only because of the lack of availability of better artisanship. This product exceeded my expectations. It is well made; solid, attention to detail, good color infused in both handle and blade, the mechanism is solid and works well, all the parts fit together smoothly, it closes solidly, and when opened the blade locks into place securely. Also, the blade itself, while being beautiful to look at, is quite sharp and very serviceable. I have only had it a week, but have used it quite a bit, and find it to be an example of practical art. It is both useful, and beautiful; more products should aspire to satisfy practicality and aesthetics simultaneously. Dark Side Blades seems to have managed to achieve this. As I stated, I have only had this for a week, and as use and time progress I will keep track of the quality and update my review accordingly. I do have hope however that this product will live up to my current expectations; and if so, I anticipate additional purchases from this company. Absolutely stunningly beautiful knife! And the quality and craftsmanship is just as exquisite as the obvious visual beauty! It has a lot of weight to it. Not so much, as to be too heavy, but, enough to feel assured that you are wielding an undoubtedly high quality, well made knife. I was a bit concerned, prior to receiving my knife, as I had seen quite a few reviews that mentioned the knife being difficult to open. I specifically wanted a spring assisted knife, to eliminate that very issue. I needed not to worry! I found the knife to be very easy to open, with a simple bit of downward pressure applied with my thumb, to the little piece that curves down from the top of the handle. It actually opens with a very satisfying quick 'flick' and a nice little click as it snaps into place, locking it open. That action really gives an impossible to ignore, attention grabbing effect to the deployment of the blade. I can't wait to show off my beautiful new knife, tomorrow at work! I simply can NOT believe I got such a beautiful, quality made knife, at such a great price! Simply unbelievable deal! If you are considering purchasing this knife, DO IT! You WILL NOT regret it!

I got this knife in 2018… I’ve carried it with me daily almost everyday since then. I used to collect knives and this is one of if not the best of all of them. the most well priced, most beautifully and intricately ornate, and wickedly functional knife I’ve ever had. It makes a badass “shwickk” sound when it snaps open and clicks perfectly into place each time. Feels awesome when it clicks into place with a little firm kick to the wrist… just awesome. I bought two more just now because I’m afraid the company won’t exist by the time I break it I needed to cover my a— because I never want to be without this knife. Buy 3

This knife is so cool! It looks great, feels great, and is super sharp. It is a little stiff and takes some getting used to for closing it, but it opens easily which is the important thing. It looks just like the picture. I got it to have next to my bed to help me sleep sounder and not be terrified of every little noise at night. It came super sharp. I wasn't careful enough looking at it when it first arrived and barley hit my hand with the tip and it cut me. If you are careful (like you should be with a knife) it is safe. Since I haven't had any home intruders yet I can't tell you if it will intimidate them, but you can use it to cut up boxes, open packages, cut string, and much more.

Einfach hübsch

Achei linda, parece ser bem resistente. Apanhei um pouco pra retirar a lâmina. Tem que, ao mesmo tempo, empurrar de um lado do gancho e puxar o lado inverso. Chegou aqui em Porto Velho em 05 dias, muito antes do previsto. Ponto negativo: Não achei bem amolada. Pelo menos tentei cortar um papel e demorou um pouco, tive que fazer o movimento de serra para poder cortar o papel.
