Our grandson was so excited about getting his first bb gun, he's a good shot too.

These were for my grandson sons and they could not have been more excited. I hade the same one when I was a kid what found memory's. There as user friendly as it gets not to powerful but just right for fun and teaching them gun safety. Great choice for first one.

It works o.k.. Fairly accurate and you can watch the round going on target. Wish the stock had an extra inch. Perfect for kids. BB velocity isn't fast enough to break skin but can leave a bruise. I got it for chasing critters out of the garden and I usually have to doink them 2 or 3 times to convince them to leave. I wouldn't suggest doing this with the 300 + fps model. Scaring critters is one thing killing them is another.

It doesn’t come with ammunition but still a classic and beginners choice for safe use for kids.

I bought this gun for my grand kids to shoot. They made some nice improvements to the classic basic Daisy BB gun. 1. A safety. When I was a kid there was no safety. This is essential when learning the basics. 2. Ratcheting cocking lever to save kids from getting their fingers snapped. 3. A real wood stock instead of plastic. Adds a little weight but makes the gun feel more solid, like a serious gun. I really like it. Glad I bought it.

For a child's gun this gun is very accurate. It does not shoot the hardest but if your child is just starting out this is the gun for you. My 7yr old can pump it on his own as well. Great products from daisy.

THE GOOD: This is seriously strong; and being a small size for a rifle, it makes for an interesting combination. Lightweight, painted in black (not matte), and has an easy-to-insert mechanism for the BB's. THE BAD: The accuracy is somewhat off; which means one needs to learn how to aim in a specific way to hit the target. The lever is far too strong to action with your hand, let alone with the back of your fingers as you're supposed to; I'm a 24 year old and I have to use my leg as a block to be able to pull the lever all the way up. THE UGLY: The logo the stock; the gun already says "Daisy" on each side of the lever, but to ruin a beautiful piece of wood by carving a logo is not only shameless advertising, but needless and damaging the final product. ALSO: In some, if not most states, toys like these need an orange strip on the end of the barrel to denote it is not a firearm. The lack of tape or a removable piece of plastic is contra productive to those who buy the product and aren't aware of the laws around them.
