This chair works well for me, but the comfort of chairs can depend on your size and shape (I'm 5'6, 120 lbs, with a long torso, so the lumbar support hits me just right). A tall or large person might not feel the same amount of comfort. Main points: [+] This is a support chair, not a squishy chair. The seat is firm and because the fabric is made of mesh netting with little holes that are hard to clean, it's not a chair for slobs. If you eat lunch in your chair and rain down little bits of sandwich while typing, this is not the chair for you. If you want a chair that's like sinking into your couch for a nap, this is not the chair for you. Actually, most ergonomic chairs are probably not it. [+] The seat tension control doesn't do a ton, so if the most important thing in a chair to you is the ability to recline or tilt forward, this isn't the chair for you. [+] Alternatively, if you're like me and you find that most chairs don't support the line of your back, so that you end up with a gap between you and the back support, this is a good chair. The mesh back supports your back without being stiff. Once you get the lumbar support calibrated, it's really comfortable. But again, the lumbar support pushes up and down, not forward and back. If you're looking for that chair that's going to shove you to the end of the seat, this isn't it. [+] There are a bunch of chairs with this design offered by multiple vendors. You take your chances with all of them. I'm happy with this one: the arm rests raise and lower, the lumbar support raises and lowers, the seat chair has a tension knob, the head rest raises and lowers. Is it customizable to a herman miller level? No, but it's also 1/5 the price. You really do get what you pay for, and for the price, this as adjustable as your money will be. [+] The construction is good enough. I can understand how a handful of people might end up with parts that don't quite fit together no matter how hard you turn the allen wrench. If you're mentally prepared for that and are willing to send back the chair for a replacement, then don't worry about the negative reviews about quality. Not every chair that comes off a factory line is a winner, and this is a factory chair at a factory mass produced price. [+] The chair comes with a pair of gloves. Put them on and wear them while piecing the chair together. You'll be surprised at the grease that's on the gloves when you're finished. [+] Putting the chair together was extremely easy and can be done by a single person. Engineering skill doesn't matter, but patience (and not having a quick temper) does. Read the instructions, prepare the bolts ahead of time so you're not trying to put the washer on while you're holding the seat in the air. Start all the bolts so they hold, but don't tighten until they're all in. Make sure the metal bits are flat against the seat when you tighten the allen wrench, especially the arm rests. Once the metal seat adjuster piece goes on, the seat becomes pretty heavy and unwieldy, so make sure to get the arm rests on straight first.

I am 6'4" and my previous office chair, which was faux leather and the upholstery/cover layer started disintegrating (making me decide that I would ALWAYS buy mesh office chairs from here on - although reading other reviews I know that too can be flimsy if you buy cheap chairs made of low quality materials). I have looked at a number of chairs, read reviews, and bought one (not this current one I am writing a review on, but it is important for the background). It was a disaster. It had a head rest, which was sticking to my upper back, among other major issues. I have written a 1-star scathing review, I was contacted by the seller to remove it, but I could not return it due to the fact I no longer had the box/packing materials (our handyman, who helped put it together, took and discarded it), so they offered partial credit - and I agreed to keep the chair (and let my kids use it perhaps in another room) - but the partial credit was never paid. So what I decided is to try again AND this time specifically look for chairs that are found to be good by LARGE people (like me - besides being 6'4" I am also 270 lbs) and then found THIS chair (XUER) - with the hope I could use its box/packing to send back the other one. Well, the bad news is that the other chair (and I will not reference it here, but if you look up my feedback profile, you can find what I wrote about it) did not fit in the box of this XUER chair. But the good news is that this chair is AWESOME. First of all, the headrest. As I mentioned earlier, it is a sticking point - one of my top issues with the other one being that the headrest was sticking into my upper back (I guess, it is good for 5' tall users) - oh, and important, the headrest, advertised as "adjustable" for that other chair, was adjustable in terms of the angle of it, but it was not sliding up or down. For THIS chair, however, there is a sliding mechanics for the headrest, and it can perfectly support my head, where I want it (i.e. the head). Second, the lower back/lumbar support is meaningful. I had many office chairs over 4 decades or so, both in my home office (and I have one main office at home with 3 desk setups + 2 additional mini offices in the house, in master bedroom and our upstairs loft, respectively) and my work office - and I don't recall a lumbar support that is this hard and truly pushing into my lower back (what I want/consider as meaningful). The rest of the chair looks pretty standard. Of course we don't know about its longevity yet, how materials will hold it together, considering my 270 lbs body hopping in it daily - but if there is any serious concern in that department, I will try to update this post. So 5-star overall - I only took away 1 star for the assembly because our handyman, who is a true talent, took a bit unusually long time (which BTW is still short in absolute terms) to assemble it - which ended up costing more actually than what the Amazon $60 assembly option was going to be - so unless you enjoy the assembly work, I think taking the Amazon assembly option is probably a good idea.

The chair came with clear instructions and was very simple to put together. Long periods of sitting are made incredibly comfortable by the mesh back and sponge lumbar support. The adjustable armrests and headrest are also a great feature, and the thick cushion adds an extra layer of comfort. I work from my desk for a lot of the day, so having a comfortable chair is crucial. Regarding comfort and support, this chair has unquestionably surpassed my expectations. My neck and shoulders receive excellent support from the high back as well. The wheels glide easily across my hardwood floor, and the swivel feature is simple to operate. Overall, if you're looking for a supportive and comfy office chair, I'd strongly suggest this chair. I've seen a significant improvement in my everyday comfort while working, therefore it's well worth the money. Despite the chair's excellent comfort and support, there were a few annoying problems that kept me from giving it a perfect score. The armrests may first be a little bit wider to accommodate various body types. Second, the chair might be more customizable to match each person's needs by offering more adjustability options. The chair is strong and well-made, although it should be a little bit heavier to avoid any unintentional tipping or sliding. These are comparatively small problems that don't dramatically lower the chair's overall performance or quality. These are nonetheless important to note because some people may regard them to be crucial aspects when making a purchase.

Received the chair 26 days after my order date. The seller was very quick to respond to my inquiries and escalated with FedEx to pickup the shipment. The issue with shipping had to do with FedEx not picking up the order from their warehouse. I can understand considering the logistical nightmare this year must be causing with all the folks working hard to deliver merchandise . I only want to mention this in case anyone else experiences a similar fate and to let everyone know the seller is very responsive and will work to get deliveries out. The chair is very well made and sturdy. Easy to assemble and comes with all the bolts, washers/shims, and tool you need to assemble. It's also very comfortable with lower back support as well as the ability to adjust the headrest, back, height of chair and armrests. I took pictures of the front, back, and caster wheels so you can get a good look at the chair fully assembled. I really like the wheels for my hardwood floor considering they're made of rubber and what you'd expect to see on rollerblades. The packaging was excellent and all the components were well protected.

Like many people working from home nowadays, I needed an ergonomic chair that would prevent the inevitable back and neck pain that occurs from sitting in a non-optimal chair for 8+ hours a day. While it is difficult to evaluate chairs without directly going to a store and sitting in one, I decided to get this one based on previous positive reviews. The assembly of the chair was fairly straightforward to do individually, although it might be easier in some steps to have someone hold the chair when aligning the arm components. Two nice aspects of the assembly: some working gloves are provided (although maybe a bit small for larger hands) and extra bolts/screws are provided in addition to an Allen key. After a month of daily usage, I can say that I am quite satisfied with the chair, and that it is certainly worth the investment. The neck and upper back pain I was experiencing from sitting in a non-ergonomic chair is no longer an issue. The seat is padded comfortably, and I would say that it is firm but not plush. I don't have any issues sitting in it for long periods of time. Build quality appears to be good. For the price point of this chair, I would highly recommend it.

This chair has been great so far! I’ve had it for about a month and it rolls super smooth, is very comfortable and supportive, and looks really nice. Assembly was super easy and didn’t require any tools. I work from home about 7-9 hours/day and I feel fine when I’m done for the day. The controls are great and easy to use. The mesh fabric is strong and hasn’t sagged or anything. I weigh about 185 pounds and sit in this about 40-45 hours/week. I’m 6ft tall and this is perfect. The headrest can go a bit higher but I’m not sure how much. Update: It’s been about 5 months since my initial review and I can honestly say I still 100% agree. I’ve actually been working more hours the last couple of months (50-60/week) and I still have no issues with this chair. I should say that the last month or so I’ve been standing about 15-20 hours week but it wasn’t because of any discomfort with the chair, just trying to be a bit healthier. 10/10 would still recommend this chair. Update: 5 years later and still using the chair everyday for a total of 20-40 hours/week and it’s practically brand new in terms of functionality and only has minimal wear signs on the armrests where they hit my desk. A friend also got one around the same time and has had a similar experience. 10/10 five years running.

This is a good office chair out of the box, but a simple tweak makes it a lot better. Before I get to that, however, let me just say I found it impossible to find a great chair. I went through FOUR chairs before I settled on this one. I never ventured into the $300 plus price point for a chair, and maybe had I done so I would've found the perfect chair, but it's difficult to spend that kind of money on a basic piece of office furniture. That being said, this particular chair was the best of the four I tried and was a keeper. That one issue I mentioned earlier – really a design flaw IMHO – is that the lumbar support is uncomfortable at best. Over a long period of time, it can be painful. Yes, it is adjustable, but even at its most shallow setting, it is not padded enough nor large enough to really provide comfortable low-back support. Thankfully, the solution is simple ... Turn the lumbar adjustment knob so that the support extends into the mesh that forms the back of the chair (ie, increase the amount of lumbar support). Keep turning it until the support pad itself disengages from the knob, then use both your hands to push the lumbar pad up and out towards the chair mesh and out of the assembly. The chair is SO much more comfortable without the support and the back mesh is strong enough to provide plenty of support. If you try this and find you are missing the support, you should be able to put it back as it was before (I don't know for certain, as I did not try this). Other plusses of this chair is that the padded seat is more comfortable and superior to just a mesh seat. The chair also has 3 fixed recline positions which once locked into place have very little to no play. Height adjustment is good and the arm rests go up and down, but not front to back or any kind of swivel. I would also prefer if the arm rests could go down a little lower. Head rest is good with a medium amount of adjustment available (I would've like more front to back adjustment). Wheels and frame are very sturdy and the chair rolls smoothly. With the one modification noted above (removing the lumbar support), I recommend this chair as your main office chair. If someone finds one better in the same price range, then good for you, because I certainly could not!

I give this chair 3.8 stars, because of quality and customer service. I ordered the chair on amazon and it arrived quickly, but there was a small hole in the netting for the back piece, as well as a (cosmetic) gouge in the lumbar adjustment dial. I emailed Xuer customer service directly, and within a few days, a representative sent me a new chair, after verifying my original order. The new chair arrived, and this time there was a small nick in the plastic frame alongside the back piece. Again, more cosmetic and I wasn't going to worry about it. However, two of the silver leg pieces were slightly crimped at the openings, making it very difficult to assemble. We were able to widen the crimped ends and get the chair together, but it was frustrating to find a bigger flaw in the replacement chair. The chair is fairly comfortable with a nice wide seat I can sit cross-legged on, and I like that it comes with the roller blade wheels, which saves me from making an extra purchase and having to dispose of the other wheels, and I appreciate the customer support's responsiveness. I do wish the quality control was a bit better for the price, but because of the resolution I received, I am content with my purchase.

Es una buena silla ergonomica, después de año y medio de uso aún sigue como nueva, los reposa brazos suelen ocasionar ligero sudor en temporadas de calor, pero puede solucionarse con alguna funda, además tiene 3 niveles para ajustar su altura, está versión no tiene para reposar los pies, pero es muy buena la inclinación, ya he dormido un par de veces con la silla reclinada y todo bien, el tubo ( vástago) es fuerte, peso un poco más de 100 Kg, y no he tenido problemas, baja muy ligeramente pero debe ser por el peso y la resistencia, en su momento investigue mucho para decidirme y creo que es una buena compra si quieres cuidar tu postura, el asiento es cómodo, y puedo estar largo tiempo usándola, el reposa cabezas va justo a mi medida, mido 1.78m y justo queda para apoyar la parte de la nuca en él. También para reposar la espalda me llega bien en la zona de la espalda baja para dar soporte. Es fresco para la espalda en días de calor y el asiento si ayuda lo suficiente, el clima acá es húmedo y con calor. Las rueditas al inicio rechinan sutilmente pero conforme pasa el tiempo y su uso disminuye siendo silenciosas. Me gustó mucho el producto, sin duda lo he recomendado en el trabajo pero prefieren lo barato. La altura es la correcta para poder mantener mis pies en la postura adecuada.

The chair had a large bump mark or some kind of rolling around on the floor and also a deformation of the seat, which is basically difficult to do as the seat is very rigid. Really firm seat and good wheels, as has been written in reviews. The seating area is large enough

Quick and easy to assemble. The little gloves to avoid getting greased were a nice touch. They are very comfortable and have a solid adjustment range. The lumbar support is great, as many other reviews suggested. Bought two at once. They shipped four minutes apart and arrived nearly two weeks apart. One had what appears to be cosmetic damage on the arm where the plastic molding attaches to the metal. Sent photo and got a prompt and pleasant reply and the immediate shipping of a new armrest. Unfortunately, it wasn't the damaged part, but it is the part that will eventually need replacement, as that's just the lifecycle of armrests. I don't foresee them sending me something else; they are a business and we hardly even notice it. It looks not to be structural.
