Need work
These punches are not really ready to use right out of the package. They are quite dull, and have machine Marks on the edges. They are good enough when sharpened and worth the price if you are willing to work on them. With really good ones selling at 40-50$ each id say they are worth the price

They aren't round
These aren't very sharp and arrived looking half finished. Most importantly tho is they aren't even close to half circle shape. Looks i dont csre abou and i can sharpen. The final shape looks like a drunk 3 year old cut it out. That isnt something that can be fixed. The point is to get a perfect half circle and these are not even close. 2 stars because a few of the smaller ones are kinda close, the big ones are complete trash.

TOTAL GARBAGE!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! I expected them to be bad, but not this bad. If I could give this product a Negative 5 star review I would. Where do I start with the criticisms? 1) These punches are so poorly ground and incredibly mis-shapen I don't they can even be reformed into something useful, unless you are a blacksmith intending to completely re-forge them. 2) The steel is ridiculously soft. It virtually melts away on the grinder with a 120 grit CBN wheel. I am trying put an edge on them with my expensive turning tool grinder so they might be at least marginally useful. 3) The shape is not an accurate, true radius. It's as if the manufacturer made a C -shape with their thumb and index finger then used that as a template for the shape of the tools. Bummer, I didn't inspect them more closely upon arrival. I would have returned them immediately. Live and learn I guess. I hope this saves more of you the agony of a poor purchase choice.

Work fine on a good table
Seem to work fine to me! Im a newbie to leather, so went on the cheaper end for my tools. After reading the reviews on these, i decided to take my chances. Yeah, they were a little oily when they got here, but thats not at all unusual for steel tools. For those that said they were dull out of the box: try a different cutting platform! I started out on my crafting desk, a lightweight hollowform ikea table, with a self healing mat. I was having a hard time getting through the leather, so i did try sharpening the one i was working on... It still didnt do much. I assumed i just didnt know what i was doing when it came to sharpening. Then i moved over to my workbench- a solid wood beast from harbor freight. Bam! One hammer hit, straight through, no issue. I grabbed one of the non-self-sharpened ones: bam! Right through! Soft leather, thin leather, thick stiff leather- one good tap on a solid surface was making short work of these half circles. So... Dont blame the tools for your sub par work surface!

Well made and works GREAT!
The handles are stout and the edges were sharp and ready to go right out out of the box.

You get what you pay for.
I knew going in these were going to be cheaply made so set my expectations pretty low..... Apparently not low enough. For a $20 set I fully expected low quality metal but something still strong enough to let me get some practice in. No such luck, my set is mostly broken and I barely got to work with them. Upside is they come dull (if they have an edge), so if you have a small file set like I do you can get in some good sharpening practice. In conclusion, while I got a cheap set like I expected I still ended up having to buy a higher quality set to practice with. I would have been better off not spending my money here and just getting a higher quality set from the beginning.

Decentish enough
They do the job, but are not particularly sharp out of the gate. Had to really strike hard to get it to cut the leather. They came dirty and in a broken bag (tools were strewn all over the place in the mailer they came in).

Should work right out of the box
A item like this should work right out of the package, but thatโs not the case with these. I got a few good looking ones that cut, but I also got a few with rust on them and on the blades. And blades that did not cut. SO if your into metal working as well and want to sharpen tools I would recommend these HOWEVER if you want to be able to use each cutter right from the container shop elsewhere

Not very sharp
Most punches were not sharp enough to cut the leather ๐

You really get what you pay for
My set arrived totally rusted and one punch was bent in the shipping. The steel is really soft. They are not worth the time it takes to clean them and sharpen them. They may be used as paper weights...
