Good value, light weight and holds a lot for a 9 day trip
Really nice suitcase. The color red is true to the picture in the posting. I have just returned from a trip to Faroe Islands - connecting flights both ways. The suitcase was nice and held up well. The only issue was the logo which arrived bent when we arrived at our destination. It's not a show stopper but the design should probably be improved. I have the smaller carry on size in grey (which is much darker than the picture) and I'll use that for my next 4 day trip. This medium suitcase was more than enough for the 9 day trip needing to take warmer clothes. The handle is sturdy. The locks provided were pretty flimsly looking and I used my own TSA approved lock. I definitely would buy again if needed.

Great buy for under $100. Six year ownership review.
I purchased this case in early 2018, so have now owned it for six years. I used this case for six flying vacations, each of which involved the case being checked for anywhere from 2-4 flights (usually at least three), and also four cruises, which also entails checking the case with a baggage handler similar to an airline. I also used it for one weeklong road trip. Despite all the reviews calling the quality of this case flimsy, saying they don't think it would survive one flight... This case has performed remarkably well for me when considering the price point. It has survived the numerous trips outlined above (and being handled by baggage handlers) fully intact. The wheels still work great. I love the fact that it is two inline wheels, which performs better than the common four wheel spinner setup on any surface other than a hard flat floor. I attach my carry-on case to this case using a seperately bought luggage strap, and roll across all types of flooring and ground surfaces with no problems. After six years all the zippers still work. At some point one of the zipper tabs for the main zipper that opens the case broke, but not a deal breaker as I can still take the other zipper tab and just zip it all the way around. Other than that all zipper tabs are fully intact and functional, and none of the teeth are broken. I like the two pockets on the front of the case for storing things with easy access. The retractable handle still works fine. As other reviewers have stated, picking up the whole case by this handle is not recommended. The grab handles on the case are still attached and functional. Only after my most recent vacation did I notice some damage to the case. One of the corners has a slight dent in it that I cannot flatten out, and a little bit of tearing to the fabric. When considering the price paid for the case, I am very satisfied for how long it has lasted me. Not wanting to risk further damage, this case is being retired from air travel. But I will be keeping it and plan to use it for any road trips where I need to pack for more than a few days. At under $100, this case is a great value and I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't fly frequently.

Good Deal on a Utility Mid Range Suitcase.
I travel often (or at least did until COVID but the skids on open travel) and use a variety off luggage according to what type of travel. I mix it up between flying, Amtrak long distance, rented Rv's and of course motor vehicles. Often in the same trip. The 4 wheeled "spinners" seem the rage right now and I observe they can stay "upright when parked." They are the fad and personally, I think they are just that: a fad. In the airport's there are times when I need to MOVE and the spinners are too cumbersome to move quickly or efficiently. The two wheeled uprights remain the way to go, in my experience. I have some expensive hard sides, yet know how to pack a carry on (without being piggish about the overheads by bringing on a bag anyone with common sense should know violates the rules for carry on's, hint hint. I also own and use some "cheap" soft sides. I have several pieces of luggage and every one has it's purpose. An inexpensive soft side has it's use. Assuming you have nothing breakable inside, they can be tossed, stuffed in between other bags or into a car trunk and are lightweight and pliable. The zipper? Well, it seems like most zippers on suitcases these days. I long for the durable metal ones, but they (the manufacturers) want us to believe these are self healing.... Whatever. I paid less than $35 for this bag on Amzn and that was a steal. This bag hits the "sweet spot" in size as it is fairly portable yet packs a lot. Also, it is not a "high end" bag, but far from being a "cheapie" or "throwaway (I have one of those too). The interior has a nice lining and features a separate zippered "compartment" in the "lid" as well as two stitched pockets presumably for shoes. The outside pockets are ample. It weighs about 8.5 pounds empty which for a suitcase this sturdy is good. A person could get by with this as a carry-on on some airlines as long as you do not overstuff: Please just don't be a jerk about it by being one of those holding the line by struggling with a bag which you KNEW was too large to begin with. It's OK to check the bags. Again, I'm a frequent traveler and I go through suitcases. I like this bag. Is it the greatest? No. Is it a "cheapie?' No. But, I like it am satisfied with this purchase and would buy again without hesitation. A nice piece of luggage which checks the boxes for both size and price.

Failed after one international trip
I bought this bag in February of this year in preparation for a cruise in May where we tend to take more clothes. I was very happy with the size and the functionality of the bag. Unfortunately, after just two transfers of the bag- Sea-Sfo and SFo/Fiji we found that when our luggage got to our room that the zipper was toast so disappointed we thought about just buying a cheap bag to take back with us, but just settled on safety pins duct, tape, and at the airport wrapping the bag. I’ve had a Eagle Creek bag of almost the same size and it just started to fail after 20 years of very active travel Very disappointed in the quality and I guess I’ll just have to spend a lot of money to get a better bag Ivwish i could get a refund but time had elspsed

It held up under heavy usage but at current prices it is a poor value
I bought this just over a year ago, for $49 and even at that price it was not a good value, much less at the current price. To be honest, this bag did hold up adequately under almost 6 months of ongoing heavy use during a long trip in South America. Despite being in transit at least once a week, via plane and intercity bus travel, the bag held up well enough without any damages. It did do what it was supposed to do, and that is why it gets 3-stars. But to be sure it has some obvious and annoying flaws that have me shopping for a replacement, right now. First off, the retractable handle did not want to pull out very far when I first got it. I was just bout to send the thing back. But, I sprayed some WD-40 on the metal shafts of the handle and around the holes they protrude out of. That loosened it up and once I got the handle all the way out, I sprayed the shafts again. After pulling out and pushing in several times, the handle moved fairly freely (but never smoothly) from then on. Do other bags have this problem? Wouldn't spraying some silicone lube on the shaft before assembly alleviate this problem for other purchasers? The next problem is one that has already been mentioned. The bag is poorly balanced and when it is full, it will tip over on its face. This is incredibly inconvenient as you either need to hold on to the handle or find something to prop it up against. And the nearest place to prop it against is often where you don't want to be standing. This was a constant annoyance. Finally, this is a two-tone bag and the color that you choose will only be on the front of the bag. The rest is black. What this means is that if the bag is on the luggage carousel face down, it will look like every other black rolling bag on the carousel with it. And this is exactly what happened when my bag arrived in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It was inconspicuous amongst an especially full carousel of mostly black bags. I couldn't see the navy blue side and I thought my bag was lost. After most everyone had removed their baggage and left mine amongst a few others to sort out, I identified it. . After that, I had to decorate it to make it stand out on the carousel. But, had it been solid blue it would have been more obvious. Other issues? The material is starting to fray a little in different places around the bag, and a strand of it snagged in the zipper. I was able to get it loose eventually, but removing the frayed material from the teeth was a challenge and I had to trim the frayed part off to prevent it from recurring. I don't think the fraying is going to end there if I continue using this bag like I've been doing. Honestly, I am looking for a better bag right now and I would suggest others do the same.

Worked Very Well, including rolling over cobblestones for 2 weeks (this time)
Worked Very Well, including rolling over cobblestones for 2 weeks (this time). Prime Day pricing was very nice. Wanted something smaller than large for easier transport on a train trip through Europe. Strap to attach another bag was a big selling point. Used extensively for my carry on and made it much easier to pull one luggage, not two. I prefer soft side and the two wheel design, seems more space for clothes, etc. Held up very well, even got miss sent on my 1st leg airline and the bag caught up to me in good shape. On the trains in Europe - 6 cities - used public transport, so was pulling over cobblestone to/from hotel using public transport off/on busses, trams, etc. -- still seems to be in good shape -- so it seems sturdy. [this time: ordered the same bad for another trip and the handle failed to go in/out after one easy trip -- returned with the 30 days, so understand the 1 star reviews. This time as soon as I got it I unzipped and examined the handle in/out hardware and made sure all looked well manufactured]
