Palram - Canopia Side Louver Window for Canopia Resin Greenhouses

This is the biggest piece of junk! I cannot even fathom anybody ever manufacturing it. The instructions are utterly useless. Once you finally get it together the lever to pull the louvers open is really stiff and hard to operate and when you shut the louvers they shut tight on one side, but not the other. After this experience, I’m so thankful I don’t have a Palram greenhouse because what a piece of crap that must be. I would send this back in a hot minute if I could, but I’ve got a worker here to frame it into my greenhouse and I simply don’t have the ability to have him come back, so I’m stuck with it. Now that it’s installed, it gets even worse. The louvers don’t open up all the way they only open up about 3/4 which prevents a significant portion of the airflow from moving through the greenhouse. I hope this review helps somebody else not get stuck with this junk.

Fits in end upper panel location on the Sun Lounge. May not be the Rion building that this was designed for, but worked for me. Has been through two very heavy rains and no leaks, or water entry.

A Palram design configured with supplemental poly panel filler, 23.5 x 3.25", to meet installation needs into a Rion Grand Gardner wall space left vacant by the short height, 25.125", louver frame. My research has shown there no longer exists OEM Rion Louver Windows but, this will fill my 2nd installation of an aftermarket substitute into a Grand Gardner. Suitably fills the bill easy enough. Substantially constructed of shiny galvanized steel sheet metal frame and alloy metal holders for installation of 7 ea. 20.375" x 4" translucent louvers. Horizontal fitment enabled by expanding sheet steel framing into wall panel channels at each side, 23.5"W. This will be the second copy of this pseudo "Rion" Louver Window installed into a Grand Gardner. Both sold as bonifide Rion Louver Windows, and both showing same false images of product. See the Palram Louver Window, that is what this is; not including the Rion poly filler panel slice, 23.5 x 3.25". Sliding poly louvers, 20.375" x 4", into each metal holder was very tight fit for 23.5", inside channel to channel, width window opening. Highly recommend exercising the mechanical mechanisms repeatedly prior to assembly. Also recommend prepping metal for painting prior to installation, as well a drop of oil on all pivot points. Well riveted assembly. Only issue may be connector screw on lever mechanism; loose when received. Sell it as a "Aftermarket Substitute/Alternative", but dont whizz into the wind and call it rain.

The window looks good and works well. However, the directions to install it were incorrect as far as the measurements of how much to cut the side panel to make this fit. We cut the panel 21.2" as directed when in fact we needed to cut the panel 18". Luckily we had the longer part of the panel still so we could cut another panel to the correct length. The whole process was frustrating and originally took about 1.5 hours to figure it out and three times to cut the panel. Once we figured out that the correct length was 18" we were able to assemble and install the second window in about 20 minutes! The windows look great and are absolutely necessary I feel for airflow, I would just like the company who makes them to please rework the directions to the correct measurements.

I needed air circulation so I bought window. It is a bit flimsy and instructions or pictures are a bit weak. I also had to cut a small piece of channel on one side because it didn't match other side. Customer service was helpful.

Not as pictured. I’m very disappointed that what arrived was an entirely different product from what was pictured. This is a “Palram/Rion” product but not the correct one and it only fits with minor rigging. I should have just ordered from Rion, directly. It was fairly simple to assemble but it did not come with mounting hardware. I don’t know if I will be able to upgrade to the automatic louvre opener because of the way this is constructed. I’m only considering keeping it because I purchased it from the amazon warehouse for half price.

This is NOT a green plastic frame louver window. what arrived was a metal frame window that does NOT fit the plastic framed prestige greenhouse. The window is 1/2 inch too narrow and 3 inches too short. The photo on this item is completely not what arrived in my order.
