MANNKITCHEN High-Capacity Stainless Steel Double-Lever Garlic Press

Needed to replace our 15-year-old garlic press after a weld failed on it. I had no idea that the size of our previous press was apparently immense compared to most that are out there, as I tried 2 others prior to this one and the tool’s well was barely big enough for a tiny garlic clove, much less the 2-3 cloves I was used to being able to press. Beyond that, the other presses rusted in the dishwasher. I decided to step up my game and spend a little more in order to get this press. So far I’m happy I did. It is very easy to use, as the mechanism allows little strength to easily press any garlic clove. Although it still isn’t as big as my previous press, you can at least fit a very large or a couple of smaller cloves into the press, and then easily mince them with little effort. The quality of the finish and mechanism is excellent. It’s built like a tank and is comfortable to use. I have tried pressing cloves without peeling them first, which I’ve tried a couple of times and it works (sadly, I usually forget until I’ve already peeled them!). Cleaning it is fairly easy, as long as you rinse off the press right after you use it (pretty much the same as any other), and then I throw it in the dishwasher and there have been zero negative results of doing this. I’d consider this worth the cost and it seems like it will have a place in my kitchen for years to come.

My friends thought I was crazy spending that much on a simple garlic press, but it's so worth it! It has a quality build, has plenty of room for the cloves, and really shines with how easy it is to clean. First, it feels weighty and strong. Compared to the presses that I have used in the past, this has a nice bulk to it. I definitely feel the quality. know it's going to really force the cloves through the holes Second, I like the room it has~ large garlic cloves fit right in with no reduction is how easy it is to be pressed. Third, it's super easy to clean. The pieces open up (without falling apart) so you can easily reach the nook and crannies. Other presses is just a cup with holes in it, and I found them frustrating to clean to the point where I preferred mincing by hand This is the best manual garlic press I've used! With its tough feel and quality, I doubt I would ever need to replace it. It's expensive but worth every penny 🥳

This is an easy to use and relatively easy to clean garlic press. There is some sort of mechanical advantage when pressing down as I find this press the easiest to use. One can place large cloves of garlic into the hopper and press down - the grind is somewhat medium which is good as larger ground pieces of garlic impart more flavor. Cleaning is relatively easy, as the grated portion swings open by itself so you can rinse it under the tap. The handle is rounded so that it is easy to grip even with wet hands - I only wish on the next iteration, they figure out a way to reduce the space between the handles when crushing multiple cloves so that it is even easier to crush - those of you with large hands will probably not face this issue. The garlic press looks like it is well made - I've placed it in the dishwasher a few times and it comes out just fine.

Only used it a couple of times but it’s a good design that is easy to fully clean. I recommend it for sure. After having owned their XL pepper mill, I knew this company makes good stuff. Unless the sell out to some big mega corporation or private equity, I will continue to be a customer.

I have to admit, I was feeling a bit hesitant first because of the price. And I had high expectations after pulling the trigger. And, oh boy, I did not get disappointed with this one. The feeling of holding it in my hand after unpacking, it felt like a small dumbbell, so heavy, solid and well-made. The next step was proving to wifey that the expense was justified, so I whipped up some Spaghetti Aglio e Olio. And again, what a difference to my old generic press. Easy pressing (with skins), easy loading, easy quick cleaning in between (removing the skins). General cleaning was a breeze because of the open construction (no smelly hands because the frame works already like a stainless steel soap), and wifey was appeased with some delicious Spaghetti Aglio e Olio. I'm now considering this press as Christmas gift for friends. It's that good. Trust me. Get it.

This is the best press we have bought. It's a little pricey, but I think this will be our last.

I've been upgrading my kitchen this year. I read a ton of reviews for garlic presses and purchased this one after seeing it at the top of multiple lists. I have to say I'm disappointed? I bought it because it was said to be ergonomically designed and easy to press large amounts of garlic, but I have not found that to be the case. The underside of the top handle doesn't have rounded edges, it feels cheap and often pinches my hand. The basket is smaller than any other press I've owned so you can really only press a couple cloves at a time, and if you use too much pressure they squirt out across the counter. You also have to use a knife to release the garlic after pressing and I really think for this price it should have an integrated scraper. The flip out mechanism does make the tool easier than most to clean but overall I wouldn't repurchase this tool or recommend it.

We ordered a second one in hopes of receiving a good quality garlic press. The issue is the machining from the manufacturer is AWFUL. There is so much play in the lever arm, that it is no wonder so many people have reported it breaking on them. I compared them to a $10 Chinese competitor and that one is machined to perfection… so I suggest doing more research.

Built lika a tank.. this will probably be the last press i bought come reckoning day.. I would have given it one more star if it had fewer moving parts..

I LOVE this tool. I was a bit skeptical about this (expensive) garlic press. I have bought and thrown out more garlic presses than I remember through 45 years of a lot of cooking. They either needed Herculean strength to squeeze the cloves through, or they ended up pressing the juice out but no chopped garlic. How frustrating. I've been using a good knife lately - works beautifully but not much of a time-saver when you need to chop a whole head of garlic. Invest in this one! It is by far the BEST garlic press I have ever used. Sturdy but easy to press (my hands are not as strong as they used to be), super-easy to clean, and it works beautifully - one squeeze and the garlic comes out minced, with very little residue left on the tool - easy to rinse off. Will fit one very large clove at a time, or 3-4 smaller cloves.

So far so awesome tool.
