Worked nicely when testing. I appreciate that the time has a fully enclosed back. Ring is fairly loud, also.

Just what I wanted. Easy to use, large dial and the ringer can be heard in the next room. Win Win

Great timer

this mechanical ring timer is simple and a good size---it does not need any batteries as you would simply manually wind it to your desired time. It is made of a sturdy plastic and you can just place it on your kitchen counter or anywhere you plan on using it. The numbers are large enough that you can easily see when winding. Make sure you wind it PAST 55 and then back to the desired minutes (5,10,15,etc) this seems to reset it to wind and ring when the time is up. The ringer is loud enough to hear if you are not in the same room----it also has a ticking noise as it counts down. It is not digital so it doesn't light up---you will need to use it in a lit room. Timer goes up to 60 minutes max.

We very much wanted a dial timer that stood upright, making it easier to read from across the room, and this one had that feature, along with what seemed to be very solid build for a small timer. It's easy to turn, even though it has to be turned past a certain point, and then back to the time desired, if a lesser amount of time (but many are that way, so no points off for that feature). It worked great for awhile, but then it simply stopped working. It wouldn't count down accurately, and sometimes wouldn't count down at all, despite being properly set. Can't speak to the magnet's feature, because we just used it on the countertop. It is VERY LOUD, no issue there, and is fairly easy to read. But since it stopped working after only a few months of normal use, have to give it 1 star, and we'll have to try another brand.

I bought it to time my bbq grilling . Easy to see , hear and use . Some times old school is better.

This had a year warranty on this, and unfortunately did not last quite that long. HOWEVER when I called customer service, a real person answered, who was very pleasant, and instantly offered to send me a replacement. This was long after the 'amazon' return period was over. Wow, this is kind of service that is just something you don't get often nowadays. I really appreciated it.

I like the fact it has a loud ring and a long ring. As I am nearly 90 I am getting very forgetful so this timer makes sure I hear it even if I have popped into the other room.
