Freon security
I never heard of these locks until our HVAC technician advised we get them for our outside compressor. Our tech thinks someone stole or teens huffed the freon out of the compressor charged lines. He found our valve cap hand loosened when our air conditioning did not cool this spring. Apparently the freon is highly sought after by young kids for a quick high. He told us he has been approached in his truck by kids trying to buy the expensive freon off his truck. So he installed these special locks and we have a unique key for our use. Sine the freon is very expensive the lock was inexpensive security. Recommend.

For any HVAC tech or Maintnenace tech this would quickly turn into a must have!
You will be surprised how often this little tool comes in handy. I am a maintenance tech. 350 hear pumps all with valve cap locks. This saves time, frustration and makes life easier.

Well made. A must have for any HERS rater who does Refrigerant Charge tests because you never know when you will come across a unit with the locking caps installed.
