Terrific, stable means of easily raising toilet seat height
Obtained this for a family member who had hip surgery and needed the toilet seat raised to a greater height. Have used those thick toilet seats with handles for other family members and was not satisfied with the difficulty of using and cleaning them, as well as the lack of adjust-ability and the hassles of installation. This worked perfectly and was SO EASY to install/use/clean. It is essentially a walker frame with an open toilet seat mounted inside that has long sides so you can funnel output right into the toilet bowl below. The dimensions provided on the website diagrams proved accurate, and the legs even fit over the Tushy bidet controls mounted on the side of the toilet. The seat is comfortable. The person who used this is around 130 lbs and woman's size 12. While it was also successfully tested by a size 16 woman, a wider person might want the bigger size. The legs are as adjustable as a walker, so you can make them accommodate your needs. We tilted it slightly forward (front legs shorter) at the start and then adjusted it as the user regained strength and mobility. It was extremely stable. The "funnel" sides can be easily rinsed after use when necessary, or the funnel can be cleaned. I used toilet bowl cleaner on a damp paper towel and GENTLY went round the insides. The funnel plastic is fairly thin, so it needs to be treated gently when cleaning. Happily, there are no cracks or crevices with this device (like other raised toilet seat devices) so urine does not dry and create odors that permeate the surrounding area. It is also adequate for post-surgery nausea; one can quickly position the crutches next to it and throw up with great accuracy (thankfully!) and easy cleanup. This was used for a standard rounded toilet but I see no reason why it wouldn't work for the elongated seat model, provided one measured carefully and followed the sizing requirements information on the website. So glad we bought this; totally worth the price.

Sturdy, steady portable raised toilet seat in frame
After hip replacement twelve days ago, I am so happy that I chose the PCP raised seat with safety frame. Right out of the box, I clicked the leg extensions on and put it in my small utility bathroom. It fits perfectly. I have taped a rolled towel on the lip of the original seat so that I can (sort of) comfortably lean back a bit to avoid the 90 degree limit for my new joint advised by my orthopedic surgeon. After reading 100โs of reviews on other brands and types, I decided that the PCP might be best for me. I have set it up over my standard oval bowl and have also tried it with a comfort height long bowl. Both work equally well. It is easily adjusted to any height. At 5โ7โ, Setting the back legs on notch 3 and front legs on notch 2 is good for me. The highest notch (5) would be suitable for a very tall person. I measured my bowl opening at 10 1/2โ x 13โ. The PCP is 8 3/4โ x 9 3/4โ. The splash shield extends 6 1/2โ down into the bowl and completely encircles the bowl . EXCELLENT! NO SPLASH or leaking anywhere. (I checked with a black light) This unit is very stable and safe. I love that one reviewer said she also used it as a light, portable shower seat. Great! I thought of her when I needed to make a lengthy phone call. I grabbed the PCP from the bathroom and gratefully sat down at proper height to use the kitchen wall phone. In comparing with with the attached models that require removing the toilet seat and lid and and then (ugh) bolting directly to the base, or the ones that attach to the front lip of the bowl.....not for me. What guest is going to want to walk into a bathroom with a semipermanent raised seat on the toilet? As to the attached raised toilet seats, there are endless complaints about scary instability, movement of seat on the bowl, leaking out the front, unsatisfactory for grown men to use, etc..... Shortcomings as I see it of PCP: (1) one leg seemed shorter on mine. I am no engineer so I used a little piece of 1x2โ and slipped under that foot to level the unit. Since then, I just adjusted the length of that one leg to a different notch. Works fine! Yes, the PCP is more expensive than some, but I would NEVER return this multipurpose seat. It is so portable and easy to take right out if the bathroom and put in a closet if you have company...or take in the car when you go visit family. Trust me!!! The newer โcomfort heightโ toilets are not tall enough to substitute for this raised seat with frame. (2) 17โ span between the frame handles might be a bit narrow for a larger person. Wouldnโt it be nice if someone would design a safe, adjustable frame for larger body type?...or better yet! have the PCP available in 2 sizes. I think that is a great idea... (3) many reviews complained about raised toilets being very restrictive because of the smaller size of bowl opening. All are smaller but I did get used to it. It is certainly a common issue that could be addressed by all manufacturers. Oh yes, the โwipingโ issue. No way to really wipe sitting on a raised seat...it seems foreign but just stand up and wipe. Flush toilet tissue in the toilet and then follow up with โCostco Baby Wipesโ (NO flushing) and put in a little wastebasket to dump later. I even use a Costco wipe to swipe over the seat and splash guard to keep everything tidy.

Must Have For Seniors With Limited Mobility
I purchased PCP Extra-Wide Raised Toilet Seat and Safety Frame for my 78 year old mother. She was using the Vaunn Medical Bathroom Adjustable Height Toilet Rail Grab Bar and Commode Safety Frame Handle which is a great product in its own right, but it was becoming increasingly difficult for her to get up from the toilet. The PCP Extra-Wide Raised Toilet Seat and Safety Frame is sturdy and functional and makes it easy for my mother to get down and up from the toilet. There were times when my mother would plop down so hard on the toilet I thought it would come loose. This problem is solved with the PCP Extra-Wide Raised Toilet Seat and Safety Frame . Earlier reviews mentioned the splash guard was only attached with two screws and easily breaks. Apparently PCP took notice and the splash guard on the Extra-Wide model is held in with 4 screws and the back of the splash guard is secured under the seat. The splash guard seems pretty secure to me, but to avoid damaging the instructions specifically say to make sure the splash guard does not come in contact with the rim of the commode bowl. If the splash guard should become damaged a replacement is available on Amazon for around $15 (Replacement Toilet Seat and Splash Guard for PCP 7007: https://www.amazon.com/Replacement-Toilet-Splash-Guard-PCP/dp/B01E7MYG42). 1 inch PCP Replacement Walker/Commode Tips are also available from Amazon for under $10 (https://www.amazon.com/PCP-Replacement-Walker-Commode-Tips/dp/B01AISYILA?th=1). The PCP Extra-Wide Raised Toilet Seat and Safety Frame is sturdy, functional, and well worth the price. I opted for the wide model over the standard model which is approximately 6 inches wider than the standard model. The PCP Extra-Wide Raised Toilet Seat and Safety Frame is a must have for seniors with limited mobility who are having difficulty going down on and getting up from the toilet.

Almost perfect. Received in five days
Almost perfect. Received in five days. The best part. . . it is usable right out of the box! There are not many things these days that do not require assembly. The legs are adjustable for patient height and comfort. My husband has dementia with Parkinson symptoms and it has been increasingly difficult for him to use the toilet, even with two people helping him. His resistance I believe is because of the fear of falling. Light weight yet strong. Easy to move. The only drawback that I can see at this time is he wanted to lift the seat to urinate. This is not possible as the seat and splash guard are all one. I foresee some cleaning problems however, with disinfectant wipes and our shower right next to the toilet for big cleaning jobs or if it should be your only toilet, you may want to lift it off for your own use so I think it will be fine. The arms and legs provide just the confidence he requires at this stage of his illness.

very, very practical
this seat does not have a basket, but the whole has a funnel like shape that fits perfectly my toilet and the waste goes right to the bowl. it is extremely light and the the highest is too high for us, who are tall people, which means that it has a good total range to play with. we use it in the second to highest, and no complaints. the only problem was that my mom is a bit too big, and the seat is not too wide. it is a perfect size for a tiny place, it is very sturdy and very light. well made. it comes assembled. mom is 5'10" and 250lbs and its a bit small for her but still usable, for someone smaller it will be perfect.

Great Product!
The merchandise arrived within the promised timeframe and in the condition described by the seller. I received my order within five days. The box included warnings and safety check instructions to be followed prior to using the product. The product arrived completely assembled and did not have any loose bolts. It is very sturdy. The adjustable height feature was easy to perform and the product was ready for use in less than 10 minutes. It fit perfectly over the toilet. I ordered this product because I am scheduled to have complete hip replacement surgery soon. I was having great difficulty standing up from a sitting position and I have a very low profile toilet. Sitting down and standing up when using the toilet is much easier now. I discovered that I can also use the product as a place to sit when I get out of the shower. I am very happy with this product and I would order from this seller again. I would also recommend this product and this seller to a friend.

Performs as advertised
The raised toilet is very stable and easily adjustable. Installing the chair is simple. The splash guard directs stool and urine into the toilet, and unlike other models, it does not typically come into contact with stool. The splash guard is cylindrical, not like a funnel. Other models I have purchased have a funnel like splash guard. While effective, stool invariably comes in contact with the splash guard, necessitating cleaning with every use. This toilet does not have this problem. The only drawback is that the seat is round instead of oblong. It is ok for small thin individuals but is not roomy enough for larger folk. This is particularly true for men.

a compromise option
I purchased this seat to replace a 5" riser seat that had lower arms. I have ALS and a progressing weakness in my legs that makes it harder to stand-up. The riser seat sat on the toilet and was attached by the seat bolts making it very stable. This new seat has arms that rise about 9" above the seat and give me an easier push-up to a standing position. There are compromises though. The seat just sits above the toilet and is only as steady as a four-legged walker. As with the walker, you need to keep your weight centered evenly above the four legs. Care must be taken to sit straight down and rise straight up or you will cause the unit to "walk" from it's correct position. The hole in the seat is smaller than average by about an inch across. This wouldn't seem to be a problem except that it restricts the "paperwork". In trying to accommodate this smaller opening, one must be careful not to lean to far to the side or you will cause the whole works to tip. To complicate this issue, the arms are mounted very close on the sides and not splayed in the front to ease access. I am 5'7" and 165 lbs. and find this set-up very restrictive. Supposedly, this seat has a 300 lbs. capacity, although this person would be wedged between the arms with no access for the "paperwork". The seat is attached and supported in the frame only in the front and back with no support at all on the sides. Bouncing down repeatedly on the plastic seat will probably break-loose the four attaching screws. This seat is my best option, for my present issues, with what is available in todays market, but far from perfect. Update; after 4 months use, the funnel under the seat has cracked in two places. I enquired about getting replacement parts and got this email. "The replacement part is ASIN B01E7MYG42. Please note that the warranty does not extend past 30 days for issues related to normal usage, as this is a lightweight economy product meant for short term recovery and use. Also, you will want to make sure that the "shield" has space between the toilet bowl and plastic. The shield should not come into contact with the toilet or the resulting pressure will cause cracks." The ECONOMY MODEL and SHORT TIME USE is not in the original description? I order the part, using the part number, right through AMAZON. The seat and shield are included and arrived promptly. Expensive, but the seat is now like new.
