Ronin-SC

Love it.

I love the setup of the Ronin SC with a mirrorless in comparison to the S with a DSLR. It's smaller and lighter but the footage is still very smooth, it also has new features than the Ronin S doesn't have, and the fact that you can lock the axis is a game changer for balancing and transporting the gimbal. Just great.

Almost everything is near perfect with this gimbal.. ease of use, accuracy,stabilisation, ergonomics.. Except in real world use on a cold day i got 3hrs use from this on a full charge. using a GH5 , no bluetooth or app usage. battery went from fully charged at 10am and ran out of juice at a touch before 1pm. I switched the unit off on occasion and also paused the motors on a few occasions, so i reckon the gimbal was stabilising for a total of 2hrs 30 mins..outside in 9 deg c. temperature. I dont find this acceptable for a unit that,s rated at 10hrs and 11hrs max... i will be investigating further.. but for now it looks like i will have to connect a usb supply to a clamp on the side of the handle..

Coming from a Zhiyun Crane This gimbal can handle my Sony A73 with quite a heavy lens It balances very easily and is steady as a rock It looks professional and is a solid bit of kit It feels good in the hand The tripod base is nice too

I have 3 gimbals this one is great for use with all Sony A6000 series cameras. If you’re a novice be patient when setting up. Follow the instructions and once mastered its a walk in the park. Get some tips on youtube.

I’ve given this gimbal 5 stars but if it was possible I’d give it 6! We’ve been watching the market for one that was easy to set up and lightweight.... this one ticks all the boxes and then some, we use it with a Panasonic GH5 as part of our Videography business ... excellent investment! I also have to say delivery was very quick !

Very impressed on opening the box, a beautifully engineered item which just screamed quality. I could not wait to put this wonderful piece of kit into action. But wait DJI would require some of your time before first use, you must pair this device via bluetooth with your smartphone after opening an account with DJI, they will then activate the Gimbal via a password so you can actually use it. In short give us your personal details and access to your smartphone with various permissions and we will let you use the item you have bought and paid for. There was no mention of this upfront, a simple line of text " online activation required" would have sufficed a bit like the simple line of text included on the listing "this item contains small parts, which children may choke on". Imagine purchasing a washing machine only to be told activation is required before you can wash your smalls. This abhorrent ever increasing modern practice will only get worse if people put up with it. this is data harvesting and smartphone snooping in everything else but name. I will not tolerate it and it's already on its way back to Amazon. What a great pity I am really disappointed not to be able to just take it out of the box and use it, but I guess in 2021 that is just too much to ask.

Nice gimble

I bought this knowing it didn’t electronically interface with my Canon Eos 80D and whilst it’s still usable as a gimble this has made it difficult to get the full functionality from it I would have liked. I knew this when I bought it though and unfortunately don’t use it as much as I had hoped to originally for this reason. My advice is, if your camera isn’t listed as fully compatible, don’t buy this product. Look for an alternative (I couldn’t find an alternative for my 80D) or purchase a camera that is fully compatible.

The purpose of a gimball is to produce smooth non-shaky videos. It does so under some conditions, unless you film while walking! Apparently, this model, even if perfectly balanced, does not compensate for most of the jerky movement on up-down axis, and you have to walk really smooth. So, why would I need to carry a gimball for that? I will just buy a gopro.
