CURT 17499 TruTrack 4P Weight Distribution Hitch with 4-Point Sway Control

Using this on my Chevy Colorado to pull a 20'8" single axle travel trailer. So glad to have quality 4pt sway control and weight distribution. I usually do 65mph down the interstate. There is NO sway and it handles very well. Take your time and follow directions to adjust it correctly and it works great.

Sold my trailer...never been used, Seems like excellent quality...just unused.

Packaging was spot on, not easy for a bulky item like this. Setup and instructions were great. Two reasons to subtract a star. One, it didn't come with a ball. How many people are going to put anything other than a 2-5/16 ball on an 8000 pound hitch? Just include the ball. Its not easy to find a ball with the correct specs for the hitch either. Secondly the keepers for the bars are extremely chincy. Not sure if this will be a problem but my last hitch was lighter duty and had much thicker better fit and finish keeper pins for the bars. These look like someone cut them out of 1/2" flat stock in their garage with a cheap cutting torch. Not what I would expect from an expensive hitch.

This. hitch was returned because it would not work based on required angles needed to utilize the Curt TruTrack feature. This is a safety issue causing the trailer to "steer" the truck. I contacted the seller and explained the scenario. They said send it back and they would refund the order. Instead they only refunded 50% of the total. this is not acceptable, and I caution anyone who wants to order from these guys to make sure prior to purchasing that the product you order will perform the way it was described. If you try to return based on mis leading info on part of manufacturer and seller, you will be penalized for their mistake. Will not recommend This seller, or Curt unless they can make this issue correct, and take some responsibility for their errors. The company could care less about the customer.

This thing is heavy duty love it. The combo weight distribution and sway bar tech works great

Curt is a well known WDH the 4 point action is just a extra safety thing distribution of weight and anti sway all rolled into one unit .

Well built, easy to install. Allowed me to pull a 5500 lbs dry travel trailer very comfortably with a GMC Canyon.

Exactly what the doctor ordered. It arrived before the date posted and this one was intact!! I had ordered one earlier from a different source and it arrived in a destroyed box and one bars was missing. Upon inspection all the parts were present as listed. It takes some mechanical knowledge to install it correctly but the instructions were clear enough for me to “connect the dots” if you will. I’ve been an industrial mechanic for 36 years. Good seller and product. I will recommend to get it from this seller.

So far so good! It was delivered a bit late. Was fairly easy to install after watching a YouTube video. Makes a noticeable difference in towing a RV.
