Survived the Australian Outback and NZ!
Pros: Lightweight, Compact, Durable, Reasonably priced, Inflatable pillow included, Convenient Carrying Case, Speedy Delivery Cons: Side sleeping isn't as comfortable as back or stomach sleeping I bought this in November and took it to Australia and New Zealand for the holidays. Generally, I use a hammock, but the spaces were a lot tighter than those in the US and places like the Outback had zero trees at the campground, so that wasn't an option. Since the fam was with me a tent was the way to go, but I needed a good mat that wouldn't take up a lot if space, and after a bit of searching I settled on HiHiker as I needed something to allow me to sleep on the floor of the tent. We camped for about 5 nights in total across AU and NZ and I was able to sleep comfortably all nights. The only trouble I had (not the mats fault) was a bit of sliding one of the nights we camped in a mountainous area and ended up on a sloped area in a crowded campground. The pillow makes a big difference by the way. Normally I'd stuff some clothes in a shirt or something to serve as a makeshift pillow to save space and weight, but this was a lot more comfortable. I usually sleep on my back, but found if I turned the pillow long ways I could comfortably pull off side sleeping as well. I'd highly recommend the HiHiker mat with included pillow for anyone in the market for a nice camping mat. Great value!

Great bang for your buck!
I bought this pad and pillow for a 3 night hiking trip to Crater Lake, Colorado. With all the new additions in gear that I needed to purchase for the trip, price was a huge consideration. I know that typically at sub $100 price points you trade size, weight, ease of use or comfort for money but after reading some reviews I thought this pad was worth a shot. At this price I was a little skeptical that the pad would be what I needed. First, let me start out by saying that the pad was surprisingly light weight and packs down rather small (about the size of a 32oz water bottle). This was a big deal for me seeing as I had to carry everything I needed for 4 days and 3 nights. It barley took up any real estate in my pack and with it being so light weight I barley even noticed it in my pack. Second, both the pad and the pillow were very easy to inflate. I didn’t time it but both filled quickly with minimal effort. Third, both pad and pillow were very comfortable. I am 5’7 and about 170 pounds and the pad was more than I needed to keep me comfortable. I even do my fare share of side sleeping and the pad never bottomed out. After the 3 nights both deflated quickly and packed away easily into the carry sack that they both came in. I was highly satisfied with this product. It’s nice when you think you are trading some conveniences for money and in the end, end up with exactly what you wanted and more money in your pocket.

Compact. Comfort. Recommend.
COMPACT: I took this on a kayak camping trip with stays on the beach and in the woods. Since I packed everything into a sea kayak I needed gear that didn't take up a lot space and didn't weigh me down. This sleeping pad was compact and light enough for me to take on my multi-day multi-site trip. COMFORT: The pad and pillow stayed inflated through out the night and were mostly comfortable to sleep on. I say mostly because the pillow would slide around (it would be nice if there was a way to attach the pillow to the pad). We were camped on a very small slope the first night and the pad slid down the slope in the night as well. However, I could not feel any of the debris under the pad when I was sleeping. On day 2, I ended up having to sleep over a root that was protruding out of the ground. Thankfully, it was not a problem for this sleeping pad and I did not feel it at all while sleeping. Please note that the pad works best when you lay on it flat, as the air is evenly distributed. It was fine for sleeping on my back and my side (even though I'm a side sleeper, I tried to sleep on my back it was more comfortable on the pad - better air distribution - maybe I needed more air in it?). However, if I sat on the pad it was like sitting on nothing at all. INFLATING/DEFLATING: The pad and pillow didn't take much time or air to inflate. After a rough paddle and bit of a hike I was pretty tired, but it didn't take much effort at all to inflate, a few deep breaths and it was good to go. Although it was kind of noisy, which I didn't like. Deflating was simple as well, just open the tab and let the air out. I also would push the air out as I rolled/folded it up. APPEARANCE: Its a very beautiful blue color and came well packaged. The only negative, which is a small one, is that my pillow arrived with some spots on it, shown in the photos (maybe glue?). TLDR: Overall this is a good sleeping pad and pillow. It performed as expected, was low effort and maintenance. Packed up small and light. I recommend. One of the people I camped with liked it too and is probably going to purchase their own.

Very Satisfied on the Continental Divide...
This is a quality product. Well designed, light and compact. It was perfect for hiking the Continental Divide with my Son. We both had the cushion and pillow pair, and they were very comfortable, even on not-so flat ground. I was a little worried about having to inflate these above 10,000 ft, but it proved to be for naught since it takes very little effort to inflate, even the mattress. The one-way nozzle design is supreme. In a two-person tent, a pair nearly covers the entire floor. Durable as well. At 6'-225# the pad was quite long enough and sturdy enough to handle me bouncing and rolling on it. The price for this was a bargain for what you get. As a bonus, it includes its own patch kit. Best part is that I did not need to use it. One recommendation I would make for a purchaser is to make a lightweight cloth pillow case to keep the pillow from sliding on the pad, or just shove it into a T-shirt, like I did. I would buy this again, for certain, one for each of my family.

Not a self inflating one and doesn't contain the pouch to fill air and inflate. Not recommended
