Actually works -- I can't believe it.
The brush itself: It used less heat than my Chi, my hair wasn't hot at ALL after running it through, the product was warm but not hot, and the tips are not hot. You can touch your scalp with it and brush from the roots. It is way better quality than I expected. It has a good weight to it and feels durable. I assumed this would be similar to the length of time and effort of using a straightener, but I was super wrong. It is way easier to just run this through your hair a couple times and call it done than trying to section out and move around hair that is super hot. It also took me literally less than half the time than it would with my straightener. My experience: I have thick, wild hair. It doesn't really have curls, but straight up big kinks throughout for some reason. It's so thick I don't even bother trying to blow dry it, and when I wake up it is a huge mess. I had hoped to find a heated brush that would just take some of the craziness out of my morning 'do.. I just wanted to be able to leave the house without having to go through the entire hair straightening process every single day. Well, I spent about 5 minutes (actually five minutes) brushing through my hair with this and it was pretty freaking straight. I was really surprised -- it was straighter than I typically get it when I'm rushing with my Chi. I spent about 5 more minutes brushing through some sections and it is just as straight as it is with my Chi. I didn't really section it out much, maybe just quartered my hair and brushed it like that and once over the top when I was finished and that was it. Love it. Would buy again. Would recommend to everyone ever.

Works on black hair
Iโm mixed, my hair is long, curly and and thick at the roots. When my hair is SUPER straight (salon) it goes down my back, past my bra strap. When curly (I just let it dry however it wants) it SHRINKS up to just above my shoulders. This product gets my hair blown dry straight, not silky straight but it IS pretty straight, even gets my edges!!!!! I go back in with my flat iron to curl my ends for a finished look. Product didnโt burn me but it does get hot so do USE the glove provided in the box. I started taking small sections of hair in the back and ended with medium sections in the middle but small sections in the front. I passed the straightener through my hair several times. Remember to use a heat protectant with this product - the prongs are all individually heated so you have heat running through your hair, not like a flat iron where itโs kind of sandwiched in so every time you run the product through your hair the brush is going to run through a different section of that parted hair so that means more of your hair will be exposed to heat as opposed to just heating the same sandwiched area as a flat iron would. Definitely use a heat protectant. It normally takes me a little over an hour to straighten my hair, using this straightening brush it took me about 40 minutes. So it definitely was an improvement on how long it takes me to do my hair. And frankly I like it because I was able to straighten my hair not super super straight like a flat iron. I like the fact that it still allowed me to have a little body in my hair.

Straightener brush on 4C hair (super coily)
Pros: - I like the size of the brush. My hair is VERRRY coily so I have to do small sections anyway and it's easy to hold - It comes with a glove, which is super helpful to protect the hand that's holding your hair from accidentally getting burnt, since it comes pretty close to the brush - It also comes with 2 clips to help clip away your hair, which is neat - The packaging is minimal and it comes with a drawstring bag for storage - It also comes with a small brush to help clean out your hair from the brush - I only had to do max 4 passes on my hair to get the desired result. Pro tip: if you have coily hair, start from the ends of your hair, pass it slowly and work your way up - It goes up to 450 degrees and it has a digital display and the temp is easy to adjust - although it does get warm, the back of the brush doesn't heat up as much - there's no wait time, it heats up almost immediately - with all the extra items that come with it, the price is hard to beat Cons: - the brush is pretty hot so I was not comfortable bringing it close to my scalp and so I end up with textured roots - this thing gets hot FAST. Use it in a well ventilated room, there will be smoke, and lots of it (HOWEVER, this was due to the brush heating up, it did not burn my hair at all). I do understand that it's probably the downside of trying to maintain high temps on a large exposed surface area - the heat dissipates quickly so it overcompensates - it has a weird smell when it's hot, although to be fair, I'm not sure if it's the brush or my heat protectant that was making it smell weird. Almost like burnt popcorn...? - the control buttons are on the handle, which makes it VERY easy to accidentally change the temperature when holding it - the directions say to use it on dry hair, which is annoying if I want to straighten my hair after I wash it. My hair needs HOURS to dry completely All in all I'm happy with my purchase. It's an easy way to stretch my hair pretty quickly and that i can easily do myself

Better Than Expected
I purchased this for my twins. They are 13 and are athletes. Styling their hair is a low priority for them. They hate blow drying their hair, flat irons scare them, and most of time I am lucky they even brush their hair. One has thick coarse hair and the other has thick but fine hair if that makes any sense. Both have wavy hair that will frizz. This straightener was more than I could have hoped for. It heats up quickly. They are able to use it on their own without burning themselves. The ends of the brush do not get hot. The few times we have used it, it has done a good job of straightening those untamely waves. I do recommend doing your hair in sections (it did come with a few clips to help you do this) if you are looking for a completely straight style. But if all you are going for is taming some unruly hair that will be straight in the end with a few passes, then this is the product for you. I wish I had found this and tried it before I bought my expensive, fancy flat iron. I could see us using this product on the go to, to freshen up our hair. My only complaint is that it is a little heavy, but other than that, I would definitely recommend giving this product a try. I also have to say, because I was skeptical about this product and brand (only because I had never bought them before) I immediately registered our brush for the lifetime warranty. They immediately emailed me back confirming my registration and checked to see how we liked the product. That is an A+ in my book.

Better than a blow dryer for kinky coily hair
I have natural kinky coily hair. I love this brush because I found a way to minimize heat damage - using this brush. Usually, when using a blow dryer, we can never really control how much heat is applied to the hair (even with digital temperature-controlled blow dryers). Sometimes we stay on a section of hair too long or have the blow dryer too close to the hair strands - creating a higher risk of heat damage and mechanical breakage (constant raking with a brush or comb through kinky coily hair). What I found is that after I wash my hair, detangle it, and let it air dry, I can use this brush at a low temperature (240 degrees) to straighten my hair for a "blowout" look. I'm not aiming to make it bone straight (like many of the people with my hair texture tried unsuccessfully). Instead, I am able to apply a consistent amount of heat to each strand of my hair - using 240 degrees and only two passes. Now, I am in complete control of how much heat is applied to my hair for the same blowout look that I would get from a hairdryer. I am so happy with this product and will share with others how I use the brush. FYI...for a "Silk Press" look, I will use this brush to "blowout" my hair, then use an electric hot comb at a temperature setting of 400 degrees to straighten it. It's safer, no heat damage, and no breakage. Tip: to minimize pulling and mechanical breakage from ripping through the hair with this brush, use a Denman brush and detangle each SMALL section first before using the hot brush on that section.

It died after about 50 uses otherwise worked well!
I loved this hair straightener for 2 years. However I admittedly don't do my hair often, kind of a tom boy as they used to call it. So I want to point out that yes, I have had the product since 2020. But I've probably used it less than 50 times, probably more like 30 and even that's being generous. The other day when I did need it, it stopped getting hot. It does warm up, but couldn't get hot so I had to throw it away. Very disappointed. But I think it's good to tell people how a product holds up, not just how it works on day one.

Wasn't what I initially expected but company completely exceeded my expectations
I thought long and hard about how to rate this review and came to the following conclusion: The amount of stars should reflect the totality of the buying experience, therefore I'm giving this 5 stars. Let me explain. I initially got this to shorten and soften the hair in my short beard. For that purpose you probably want a different product. You need at least an inch of hair for this to have the desired effect. I also tried it on my sons' hair and it had a decent result. It took their hair from tight curls to semi-tight waves. I was hoping for it to completely, or at least significantly straighten the hair, but that didn't happen. However, once they washed their hair and put some conditioner in it, the results were quite a bit better. So based on the pure performance of the product I awarded it three stars. However, the company contacted me and agreed to refund the price of the brush to my credit card and allowed me to keep the brush. If I had known that would be the case I would never have hesitated to buy this product. You literally have nothing to lose by trying it. You will either get exactly what you wanted or you get your money back. I wouldn't feel right giving that experience less than five stars.

Great product, exceeded my expectations!
I have been using this for the past 4 days, and intentionally waited to review it. I recently had my KQC flat iron die on me, and honestly was torn between getting one of these....but I'm so glad I did! I have extremely fine, silky, long, and extremely curly hair. But unlike most women with fine hair...I have a ton of it. A TON. Anyone reading this who is used to using a flat iron, I will say there's a learning curve with this thing....and you're going to have to rethink your approach a bit (especially the back of your head) ....but once you get your stride (I highly recommend sectioning) you're going to love this thing! My favorite thing about this product is that unlike flat ironing, this tool doesn't flatten the body out of your hair...at all. My only dislikes, are that unlike a flat iron, it doesn't seem to seal my ends as easily as my KQC did...but this is easy enough to overcome with a bit of frizz serum, and a few more strokes focused on your ends. And the placement of the buttons is right where my fingers seem to hit on the handle...but like I said before...learning curve. All and all, an excellent tool! 5 stars, well earned.
