Perfect for Brining Turkey—Super Durable and Space-Saving!
I used this Rubbermaid 12 Quart Food Storage Container to brine my turkey for Thanksgiving, and it was absolutely perfect. The size is just right for a large turkey, and the square shape made it easy to store in my fridge without taking up too much space. The container is super sturdy, and the clear plastic makes it easy to see exactly what's inside. The airtight lid sealed everything in so there were no leaks, and it kept the brine nice and contained. It’s also great for meal prep and sous vide—I've used it for both, and it works like a charm. The 12-quart size is ideal for family meals, and the best part is that it’s easy to clean afterward. Definitely a versatile tool in the kitchen for both big and small tasks! Pros: ✔️ Perfect size for brining turkey or large cuts of meat ✔️ Space-saving square design fits easily in the fridge ✔️ Durable and sturdy, built to last ✔️ Clear plastic so you can see what's inside ✔️ Airtight lid prevents spills and keeps things fresh ✔️ Easy to clean—dishwasher safe Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for a durable, reliable container for brining, meal prep, or sous vide, this is the one. It’s super practical, and I’ll definitely be using it for many more Thanksgiving turkeys—and all my other kitchen needs!

These are Great!
I think these containers are great and have many different sizes and shapes. Other reviewers have expressed concern and given low ratings because this item contains a warning for Bisphenol A (BPA). Nearly all polycarbonate contains some amount of BPA, and most people don’t even realize they are using such items because the item didn’t have a label. I think being concerned about the amount of BPA in this polycarbonate item is unnecessary and raising concerns where they’re not deserved. The purpose of this container is for pantry/refrigerator storage, not boiling your food directly inside, so BPA risk of transferring to your food is really nil. Even cooking with sous vide isn’t at a high enough temperature or direct contact with your food to be of concern. These are versatile containers for storing and all types of pantry items or food prep storage. I like to use them for vegetable and salad prep for use in cooking throughout the week. Fitted lids are sold separately for most, if not all, sizes, but a reusable stretchy silicone lid could be used as a less expensive alternative.

Hard to find Rubbermaid Commercial Food Grade Square Food Storage Container 12 Quart. Perfect for my sous vide cooking. The container walls are perfectly vertical so there is no vibration from my Anova while operating it. No BPA, beautifuly clear with 12 liter markers showing how much contents are in the container. Size is 10,1/2" x 11" x 7,3/4" Super easy to clean. Lid is sold seperately. I am a new to Sous Vide cooking. Next purchase sous vide rack. lol

One of the few clear, square, graduated containers in the size.
Perfect sized container for my needs, but wasn't too happy that it arrived with some scuffs and a couple scratches on it despite being sealed in what looks like the original factory plastic. So a bit of a bummer there, but there is hardly any other options on the market in this size that's clear and graduated amd square, so Rubbermaid it was 😉

Perfect with my Anova One!!!!
After seeing this product mentioned in Jason Logsdons' sous vide book and reading a rating by someone who found it useful with their sous vide circulator I decided to give it a try because this item is BPA free whereas the container most often used is not. BPA may not be an issue if this container is used solely for food vacuum sealed, but then again we don't know that for sure and I prefer to err on the safe side. Additionally I've been looking for a container large enough to brine poultry (obviously not vacuum sealed) and this seemed to be the perfect size for my family of four's everyday sized chicken, two Cornish hens or turkey parts. It's important to note this commercial grade (very sturdy & well made) container does not include a lid, but the lid is available on Amazon for a few extra bucks. In my opinion this container with the additional cost for the lid is a bargain. Hubby carefully cut the lid (using one of my expensive knives....doghouse!) so the Anova One would fit with just a smidgen of wiggle room. The previous rating proved totally true. My first attempt at sous vide using this container, it's lid custom cut buy hubby with no difficulty and an Anova One I received as a gift made the best NY Strip steak we've tasted outside of a VERY FEW, VERY PRICEY restaurants. Even then, the difference was very minimal and may have been nonexistent had we let it cook a bit longer. We were just too excited and gobbled it up as soon as the minimum cooking time passed. I'm kind of a perfectionist, very picky about my kitchen and what I actually use when prepping and cooking. This is a keeper!

Great for Sous Vide
The Rubbermaid Square Containers have not only simplified my kitchen organization but also expanded my culinary horizons. I was introduced to these containers by a chef friend who was using them for sous vide cooking, and it didn't take long for me to follow suit. These containers have quickly become indispensable in my kitchen. What's immediately noticeable about these containers is their space-saving design. They nest neatly within each other, optimizing storage in my kitchen cabinets. The square shape offers efficient use of space and fits perfectly in my refrigerator and sous vide setup. The commercial-grade quality of these containers ensures that they are durable, easy to clean, and capable of withstanding a wide range of temperatures. They are perfect for sous vide cooking, as they can handle the precision and consistency required for this cooking method. Thanks to these Rubbermaid containers, my kitchen is more organized, and I'm exploring new culinary techniques, just like my chef friend. They've become a vital part of my kitchen routine, and I can't imagine cooking and storing food without them. Whether you're a professional chef or a home cook, these containers are a fantastic addition to your kitchen arsenal.

Good measuring thing for many uses
These square containers just ended my round-container rebellion – pantry Tetris champion status unlocked! I used to live in denial. Round containers everywhere: rolling around like drunk marbles, wasting precious shelf real estate, mocking me every time I tried to Tetris leftovers into the fridge. “There’s gotta be space for one more Tupperware,” I’d whisper, only to watch the whole stack avalanche like a sad Jenga tower. My fridge looked like a war zone, and my soul was tired. Then these Rubbermaid Commercial Space Saving Square heroes showed up. Clear as crystal (literally—polycarbonate so tough it could survive a toddler’s tantrum), square so they nest and stack like obedient soldiers. Suddenly, my shelves went from “post-apocalyptic chaos” to “professional chef vibes.” They claim 25% more storage than rounds? Understatement. It’s like they hired a mathematician to optimize my life. Pros that deserve a Michelin star: • Square shape = actual space-saving sorcery. Fits way more in the same footprint—my fridge now holds enough meal prep to survive a zombie apocalypse (or just a busy week). • Crystal-clear so you can see exactly what’s inside without playing “mystery container roulette.” No more opening five lids to find the spaghetti sauce. • Built like tanks—dishwasher-safe, break-resistant, NSF-certified (fancy way of saying “restaurant-grade and won’t give you food poisoning vibes”). • Graduated measurements on the side because who has time for eyeballing portions? Not this aspiring home chef. • Bonus: They look so pro on the counter that guests think I’m fancy. “Oh, you meal prep in commercial containers?” Yes. Yes, I do. Cons? They don’t come pre-filled with gourmet meals or whisper motivational quotes while you portion chicken. But for the price (cheaper than therapy for my disorganized pantry), I’m not mad. If they did that, they’d probably cost as much as a small car. If your life is a round-container crime scene, or you’re just tired of playing fridge Jenga, grab a set of these bad boys NOW. Five stars feels stingy; I’d give 10 if Amazon allowed it. These aren’t just storage containers—they’re affordable peace, pantry efficiency, and a subtle flex on everyone still using circles. Your shelves (and your sanity) will thank you. 🥡📐

Ideal size and capacity.
Works perfectly well for our use as a container when cooking Sous Vide style .... we also bought the matching lid which eliminates evaporation issues on the long cooks. A great unit with lifting cupped handles making it much easier to lift when full of water etc.

Exactly what I needed for Sous Vide cooking with my Anova precision cooker.
Lightweight but seems strong and easy to clean - I can see that this would be a great vessel for dry goods or for marinating a huge amount of ribs etc for BBQ parties but this wasn't my purpose - it is perfect for my Anova Sous Vide. The tub is big enough to Sous Vide four portions of fish or smaller cuts of steak or 2 large Porterhouse steaks. The lids to fit a sous vide cooker are outrageously priced so I purchased this lid to go with it: Rubbermaid Commercial Lid SQ SSC (FG652300WHT) and cut a hole at the corner using an exacto knife. Perfect fit, keeps the heat from escaping and probably saves a bit of power. The lid also clamps the vacuum seal bag in place so it doesn't float all around or sink to the bottom resulting in uneven cooking. - ideal for dry good storage or marinating a large amount of ribs etc for the next backyard BBQ party. I would not use this tub for long term liquid storage (especially an acid base like tomato sauce) as I am unsure about whether this item has potentially toxic chemicals in the plastic.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great for proofing bread, measurements on the side are useful to track the rise, easy to wash and dough can be mixed easily in the container. Does not come with a lid and is a little more expensive than purchasing at a brick and mortar store.
