After our old fridge died and we bought a new one I was a bit paranoid about the actual temperature in our fridge. I purchased this to keep an eye on things. I find it accurate, and I am actually surprised at how quickly temperatures rise in the fridge when you open the door. Very happy with this product.

Does what it’s intended to do. It’s bigger than I thought for my mini fridge. Its accuracy is comparable to the dial based ones as I had them side by side to test. I just prefer the digital because I’m color blind.

Nice, easy to read thermometer. It can be hung from the rungs of the older style refrigerator racks or, with the hanger in the down position, placed on the shelf in the newer refrigerators with glass or plastic shelves. The battery is replaceable, and the thermometer came with a little screwdriver to unscrew the battery compartment when replacement is needed (a CR2032 button battery). The thermometer can be turned off with the push of a button until needed, or left on all the time. I tried turning it on and off only when needed, but decided that was a bit of a nuisance as the temperature in the refrigerator goes up when the door is open longer, so I have left it turned on for the past couple of months. That way I can see the temperature immediately on opening the refrigerator door. I think the battery, like a watch battery, will probably last for quite a while. It also shows the maximum and minimum temperature since it was last reset - handy if you are concerned about how well the refrigerator holds the temperature.

I ordered two so that we could monitor our refrigerator and freezer temperature. They work great and are easy to read!

When I got a 'new' second hand fridge and needed to verify that it reached correct cold temps, this thermometer did the trick.

This is a small neat thermometer. I wish my little fridge had a place for it to hang. I might put a command hook in there. But it seems to be doing its job! Great price!

I wanted to know the max/min temp for my freezer -- mostly to see how high it got during power outages. This works well. I got the 4-pack, so I used the others in two bedrooms. It is handy for a rough reference because the precision is limited to about 1/2 degree F. It displays temp in tenths, but I found that the precision is only to about 1/2 degree -- for instance, it jumps from 69.8 to 70.2. Accurate enough to set temp and check for variations, but not exact. Cheaper than mechanical max/min thermometers. Also easy to read and reset. -Chris
